When my father was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and was only given months to live, I was with him everyday even though my husband and I had just gotten married. My husband was so good about it and never complained because he knew how close I was with my dad. My husband worked midnights at the time, he would come home and go to sleep until about dinner time. I would go to work, leave work to go right to my parents house and id be home by the time my husband woke up. On his days off, he’d go with me to spend time with my dad. I probably would’ve divorced him husband if he acted the way this woman acted while her husband was going through one of the hardest times in his life. Even when my husband parents got sick, we moved them into our house because they live 5 hours away and my husband was a nervous wreck trying to figure out who and how others would care for them. So they lived with us until they passed away. Being there for your partner is so very important especially when it comes to their parents. This woman is a heartless bish

When my dad had a stroke and started to get dementia I took every chance I could to be with him. Who knew how long I had left with him? This was the man that raised me by choice. Took care of me and was my main moral support! I got 9 months after that stroke and was by his side when he took his last breath. I stayed with my mom for 3 weeks after but not once did my husband complain about being there while he took care of his ill grandmother and our 2yo son.
