You did not mention whether the extension hose attaches to the washer or the existing hose. It looks, from the end of the video like you put the extension hose on the back of the washer, but you didn’t show that. There is an elbow connector on the hose that comes with the washer to connect to the machine, so do you need to take the connector elbow off of the existing hose and put it on the extension hose and then connect it to the washer?

I think you're referring to two different hoses. The DRAIN hose, does not have an elbow on any model I've ever seen. Water supply hoses typically have elbows though. The extension hose is attached to the existing drain hose of the washing machine. The bend you see on this drain hose is actually a 'drain hose clip' the goes near the end of the existing OR extender hose right before it goes in the drain pipe. That is to be removed from the existing hose, and placed onto the extended hose for stability.

@@ccxcxz4377 The DRAIN hose that comes with this washer DOES Have a right-angle elbow on it like Lynne says. It is part of the molded plastic hose itself. That piece should be attached to the washer just as it you did not need to get an extension at all. The other end of that original drain hose should be inserted into one end of the rubber connecting sleeve, and insert the piece of the extension hose into the other end of that sleeve - the end with the smooth plastic piece that is about 1.5 inches long (it has 2 large ridges in it that should be covered by the rubber connecting sleeve, which where you should also put one of the clamps on). Note that my washer drain hose end that goes into the wall drain does not look exactly pictured here or like the end that the extension hose mates with. The non-washer end of mine is not 1.5 inches there with the 2 ridges, that end instead has about another 4-5 inches of different kind of plastic with rings on it, not exactly the same as the rest of the hose. This confused me no end since I thought I had to put ALL of that into the rubber sleeve as part of the connection which is difficult to do and makes no sense....

@@jimihendrix8276 You probably have one of the LG pieces of junk! It is going to take weeks to install due to their crappy hose lengths. You need to replace or extend them all.

Squeeze HARD, they require pretty good force to ensure a proper connection. You may need help. Use pliers with very long handles.

Not a very good demonstration. Your original hose seemed fine. You should address how long you can extend the hose, how it should be routed etc.
