Depends on the kid. But it helps not to use those ‘trigger words’ we call them different things & do a lot of show & tell

@@rileyfulling1681 that's a four letter word in my office. We say "sleepy juice" and hide the syringe. with good topical anesthetic and nitrous they usually have no idea they got local anesthetic.

The dentist he goes to now recommended a pediatric and said if he doesn't cooperate they might restrain or sedate him to get the work done. I'd like to avoid all that if possible
