That's pretty amazing that the snake trail will disappear when properly applied! And hmmm, I'm getting ideas for getting a better aurora with acrylics. Excellent tutorial, Paul! 🤗🥰

@@PaulRansonArt Oooph, 'the nest', ugh. Having difficulty setting up the camera here for the overhead shot (my preference) but IT SHALL BE DONE! I might have to build ... 😋....

Love this! Thank you Paul, very informative about how to use Bob Ross Liquid Clear ... and I love your state-of-the-art watch 😜

Thanks so much! Its a special one just for artists although I have heard people have started to use them for boiling eggs. But I don't think it will catch on. 😉 🐔😂.

Thank you for this. I used Liquid Clear recently and obviously put too much on the canvas. Couldn't get any of my highlight areas to stick and it all turned into a dribbly, muddy mess after a day or so. Total fail! This video should help me out.

Glad it was helpful Diane. My first ever painting on liquid clear looked ok ( well I though so back then haha ). But by next morning the window sill I left it on to dry had a different opinion. It looked more like a lava flow with most of the painting a sticky puddle. Happy Painting Diane 😂❤🤗

Necesito saber si este líquido se puede usar con pintura acrílica
@PaulRansonArt5 ай бұрын
No, questo è un colore ad olio e non può essere utilizzato con gli acrilici che sono vernici a base d'acqua. Spero che questo aiuti - Paul 😃

Master the liquid white and clear Robin and your half way there. p.s. check your canvas is properly primed! Many are not and act like a sponge, soaking up your oils and turning your first wet layer into pudding! 😃😎

Hi Paul - I have noticed my liquid clear has gotten a bit thicker over the years in the tin and this makes it pretty difficult to apply. Can I thin it a little bit with something like white spirit/thinners? Thank you.
@PaulRansonArt6 ай бұрын
Hi Gilbert - liquid clear reacts badly when mixed with thinners / spirits. It will render it a useless stringly mess - ask me how I know . 😣😣 I use a few drops of linseed oil and that thins it down nicely. Always use an oil to thin a oil - Happy Painting - Paul 😃😎

Have Bob Ross Liquid Clear but I have begun using water mixable paints. Obviously, I cannot soap and water clean my brushes after they are contaminated with liquid clear oil. What do I use instead?
@PaulRansonArtАй бұрын
Hi Darla - I've used water mixable linseed oil in olace of liquid clear. Its quite a bit thinner so apply very sparingly and dab off any wet bits. Then you can use water mixables for everything including thinning down your paint for those fine branches and grasses. I'll be making a video all about this soon. Best wishes - Paul 😃😎

Don't get ME WRONG, I APPRECIATE Bob as well as the next fanboy. But this video could have been 2 or 3 minutes shorter without all BR this, BR that added to the commutation . Never the less good and informative demonstration.
@PaulRansonArt2 жыл бұрын
Hi Curtis -thank you for the feedback. Its hard to hit the sweet spot with too much information versus not enough. If you don't mention BR the KZbin algorithm sends the video to the back of the queue never to be seen again. Just one of the hoops us creators have to jump through just to be seen. Hope you enjoy the other videos. 🤓

Liquid clear ,,, just over $ 30.00 ( Cad. ) for 250 ml. that equals one cup ,, expensive, very expensive. I make a clear base for my wet on wet paintings ,,, one part stand oil and two parts mineral spirits ,,, works perfectly at a fraction of the cost of Liquid Clear.

II've made a few different versions as well. My only issue is that it skins over even in an air tight container after a week or so. I ended up mixing smaller batches and wasting a little less. Ultimatly, if it works for you then thats perfect.
