very good, but I simply make make 2 text layer and put effect and then pre-compose it. But if it's to literal "specific word" then I put the effect on an adjustment layer and track matte it and turn on the opacity of the text layer I track mattted with the adjustment layer and then I adjust the adjustment layer on that word with positioning ang scaling. It sounds hard but it's very easy to do.
