Hi Akshat. Thanks for this informative video. I am based out of north America and majority of my holdings are in North American stocks including Birkshire stock. Just a quick opinion about the cut in cheveron holdings by Mr Buffet. I guess its more related to company’s performance and acquisition of Hess than his bearish stance on oil. On the contrary he has built a massive position in Occidental which is another oil company. Buffet and Munger have been big oil bulls. Just a perspective. I might be completely wrong. And I just want to thank you for creating content which helped me invest in India from abroad. Loads of love ❤

Couple of things. Another reason for Mr. Buffet doing this can be 1. Today if yeild expection is 5% for a 2 YTM bond, where coupon is 1.5% then the bold price will be about $90.67 2. In 12m if he gets $1.5 coupon and if yeild fall to 3% then the bond price will be $97.10 3. Thus Mr. Buffet would have made. 97.10+1.5-90.67 / 90.67 = 8.76% Note this is even higher than yeild expection today of 5%. OK if yeild expection remains same he makes 5% If it's 4% in 12m he makes 7.71% If it's 3% in 12m he makes 8.76% If it's 2% in 12m he makes 9.80% Note which means if US us back to 2% inflation and yeilds go bavk to 2% he makes 9.80% and only way he gets lesser than 5% is if yeilds increase further than 5%
