I was friendly with this great man. A true follower of Christ. He got covid & backed off. Understandbly so. Once he recovered, I wasn't unfriendly but I backed off. Last few interactions, he went out of his way to seek me. Looks good. He's showing real interest & respectful affection. I am confident we will enter Godly courtship soon. Keep praying Mark!!

He was sick and you didn't even try to check up or text? Wow, a woman would seriously punish a man for something like that and say he's insensitive/heartless for that. You're lucky God let you salvage the relationship later on because it mightve been in his will either way. It'd be a different story if you were a man

@@Trinitytruth7 I'm saying how women need to be treated when feeling down and feel hurt when neglected, and you focus on me pinning blame. @@ApplyGodsWordcomMarkBallengeryeah. Many thanks. I've been growing in wisdom. There was an instance at the gym where this female was being really friendly and so I asked her about her relationship status. Not sure why I was so brave, but she said she was married. I thought that was odd since she wore no ring. Needless to say I have backed off.

Best thing I learned is to assume a guy isn’t interested unless he acts on it. God will also look to challenge us too in developing ourselves and how we interact with others and will bless us as we focus on doing the right things. One thing I have always struggled with is asking questions. When I started being intentional about that, I met my guy almost immediately. Will play out differently for everyone, but there will be no question when it does. Actually, he feels the same way. He felt like I genuinely was interested in him as a person vs using him to achieve a goal. So it was as clear for him as it was for me. From there, it was a series of baby steps to see where God took the relationship.

Noone enjoys being rejected but it's part of life. Jesus was rejected and He still carried on. You won't be ready to marry until you deal with rejection spirit. People do crazy things. Dangerous things due to rejection spirit. Google this. Go to KZbin. God wants to heal this.

If you want to know how someone feels about you, ASK THEM. It's that simple. Save yourself years of heartache and agony by guessing and being sabotaged by all the "Christians" who you talk to instead of that one person. Talk to them directly - just ask them upfront and direct. Be an adult.

Great tips, wondering about step three though, do less. If I like a guy, who I’m pretty sure likes me based on the way he acts, then he starts acting standoffish, “doing less,” I think he’s giving mixed signals, not really interested, or maybe playing games, SO I end up pulling back. Thoughts?
@ApplyGodsWordcomMarkBallenger2 ай бұрын
Just make sure you have been matching his interest. If you have not, he may have gotten mixed signals and is doing less to see how you respond. You can do more and see how he responds and then if he doesn’t respond well you can know he’s not interested

Something I've learned about finding out about how someone feels is kind of being, as Robert Downey Jr said in Sherlock Holmes a Game of Shadows, "so overt it's covert." I kind of ask guarded questions that aren't saying "i want to go out" but will find out little details about their feelings, relationship status, etc. In one instance, there was a woman at my church that is a single Mom, but that's neither here nor there. I had been attracted to her for a while, not even being aware of whether she was married. When I found that out after she joined my small group at church, I inadvertently started chatting with her on my phone. I say inadvertently because we have a group message thing and for a while I had it shut off on my phone, so we had an accidental private conversation. I was telling her, just as friends, how I wasn't happy being single, and she said she wished she had stayed single and it would have to be clearly a God thing if she was ever going to be dating again. That gave me a clear signal that I probably wasn't going to date her.
@Luekus2 ай бұрын
“it would clearly have to be a God thing if she was ever going to be dating again.” Why was that a clear signal for you that you probably wouldn’t date her?
@mattmallecoccio83782 ай бұрын
@@Luekusto be honest it was because I'm not at the point where I can say definitely that I will or won't date her. I was also unselfishly thinking about her teenage daughter as well. I'm not entirely sure she would welcome a new father figure. If they would welcome a new man in their lives, then I will see things differently. I'm not saying I definitely won't date the mother, but I'm trying to be discerning. That's a quality that doesn't come easy for me. Good question though and I hope I answered it clearly.
@mattmallecoccio83782 ай бұрын

A man is thrice less likely to get divorced if he has a virgin wife. 85% of women in stable marriages had zero non-marital partners, and that number drops to 45% at 3-4 partners. With 10 or more partners that number drops to 25%. Marrying someone who had 10 or more prior will most likely end in divorce, it's not worth the try. It's nothing personal, but the numbers are heavily stacked against men. 74% of all divorces are filed by Christians and 85% of all divorces are filed by women. If she is a Christian with 10 or more prior to marriage, it's basically over from the very beginning. You're better off looking at the numbers and making decisions accordingly than listening to internet grifters.
