A constant physical and emotional struggle for me. I've been a recovered substance addict for some time now. Having dealt with drug addictions and lust, my addiction to lust has a significantly stronger hold on me. It's been years since I've seen pornography and I'm faithful to my wife. Yet this struggle is killing me and my mind is completely wrapped up in it and no one around me seems to understand or know how to be helpful. It's not anyone else's job to fix me but damn, I can't seem to fix it on my own.

I think we need more sexual sin support groups within churches or it needs to be spoken of more.. cos this sin loves to hide in the dark and live in shame...!! Bringing this sin into the light of Christ will help heal so many people or help start the conversation. Yes I think that's why in the bible especially the new testament it speaks against it so much because God knows how harmful and DESTRUCTIVE it is. I remember when I was younger something in me like a voice which I know confidently now was the holy spirit, was speaking to me to not let certain things or attraction to females go to far where lustful thoughts rose up. I guess I got prideful about it because I was acting like I could handle it and worse wasn't seeking God in that area so I did get worse unimaginably. Long story short, a certain night where I shouldn't have did something that would start and cost me a decade of slavery and sinfulness in sexual impurity and immorality. It is not worth it and really will take more than gives you and if God use me to help others dealing with this and want to stop and be free it. I personally can tell none of those wrong desires and lies of thinking it's ok because you can do it or everyone else is will gain you what you really want. You never really get what you really want out of it but its guaranteed you lose and have taken from you more! Also, it's very difficult maybe one of the most difficult things to ever choose to get help and see it's wrong and hurting you and to stop it and get free from. I just recently turned from that lifestyle and know I been release from the burden of it but because of doing all I did for so very long the lord and his spirit and word has to work on me mightily and heavily. But it comes with the choice personally and to have hope and faith that you can do and have better! We let the world around us make it seem ok and no big deal because it's a natural part of life. But because they don't know the lord and truth and don't have the spirit and word on them, they can't see and understand why it's so wrong and really harmful to live in that manner and see the consequences and effects of the sin to see why they are the way they are and they have harder lives. Henceforth the sexual diseases and unplanned children and the aspects spiritual and emotional dealing with people that don't care about others and won't mind cheating committing adultery and sexually assaulting someone. All this exposure or access that its LEGALLY available like porn, strip clubs, massage spas and etc. etc, few see or think it's the reason why so many out there have bad issues with sexuality and perversion and it needs to change. Me personally my prayer is that God will RE sensitize me and make me the way I was before being sexually active or promiscuous and that I will not desire none of it but in the right way purely which is in marriage to my future wife only hoping that I can still become the man I need to be and be blessed to marry the right good godly unconditionally loving woman for me.

My friend I know what it means to be tempted by the lust and other kind of depression I was tempted ever since I was a little girl it has lived with me like a shadow I did everything to overcome it I always repent and repent and repent again and again and also pray and read the bible but it was no good and one day I told God " I give up I am not going to fight it any more I am so tired of it, I have fought for 10 years I am not going to fight it anymore." What surprised me the most is that God hasn't gave up on me God was fighting for me and always whispers in my ear to get back up and how much he love me and fight it again in prayer and reading the bible. I thought that I got mad when this voice whispers in my ears. THE VOICE STARTED TO SCREAM IN MY EARS " I LOVE YOU " I couldn't resist the voice it was touching my heart so I got back up again and started to pray and read the bible again during that the Holy Spirit was revealing for me THE POWER OF JESUS BLOOD. During prayer God opened my eyes and I got the revelation of the blood and started to listen music about "THE BLOOD OF JESUS" read about THE BLOOD OF JESUS. I GOT FREE !!!!! Even when it tries to tempt me I declared "THEIR IS POWER ONLY IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS there is no such a thing written in the bible the power of lust JESUS already dethroned you. Devil you are the father of lies you have been laying me for 10 years you have no authority over me JESUS died for me on the CROSSE to be a victor not a victim. SO don't give up yet "I CHALLENGE YOU TO START DECLARING THE POWER OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS IN YOUR LIFE."

In my life, freedom came when I got so fed up with trying to find freedom through my own will-power and surrendered, humbly to God. I found when I spent time daily in His Word and prayer, I could walk free of the sinful practice. When I skipped my devotional time, I would choose the sinful practice again. There was a point where I felt in my spirit that God had absolutely set me free. Freedom was mine to walk in. God had broken its power over me. It took me months to successfully desire His presence more than the gratification of sexual sin. Now I am free, praise God!!! Remember though, an unprotected strength is a double weakness. Once you're free, stay in the Word and prayer, and enjoy the intimate, physical company of your spouse!!

When there is life, there is hope in deliverance. I lived the gay life from the age of 20-35. I thought I was born gay and lived accordingly. One day, my sister excepted Jesus as Savior. She then started teaching the Hope through the gospels. It took her 2 years of consistency in showing the love of who Jesus is and can be for me. After 2 years, my heart was opened to knowing who He was. He punched a hole in my life and delivered me from the desire to live that life. He did not take away the temptation at that point. I excepted Jesus as Savior and walked close to Him. Two years past and I started noticing women in a new way. I met my future bride, working in the Awanas at our church. I was scared to death but, asked her out on a date. She said yes... Yayee. The first night, I was transparent with her, she shared she was a sinner saved by Grace too. 9 months later she became my bride and that was 16 years ago. Now, I teach all over the country on the Hope same sex strugglers can be delivered from these chains. Perhaps not the desire itself but, guide a different path for you and give you spiritual strength. He hits these subjects spot on. Remember, we love the sinner, hate all sin and offer the Hope of Christ to all people. Only 1 sin He wii not forgives us for.. rejection Him.

Thank you for you comment. I just want to say that it is not true that your issues and unmet desires will go away when you walk closer with God. We can see that from the Psalms. Many times David encountered sorrow even though he had a strong relationship with God. I have been celibate for 11years, so walking in purity is not the problem. The problem is continuously presenting a desire before the Lord that goes unanswered for many years and you are not sure if the end result will be what you hoped. I know I am not the only one who is in this position. Also, it’s not guaranteed that everyone will receive a spouse even if they are walking close with God. That’s a reality that some of us need to prepare ourselves for. Some people think that if they walk closer to God, then they will get something out of Him. The point is to seek His face out of genuine love even if he never blesses you with what you want.

I believe that I have to serve God whether he chooses to bless me or not. That is not being double minded. It’s a question everyone should ask themselves. Will I serve God even if I don’t get what I want? Paul had a thorn in his side and asked God three times to remove it. He did not, but gave him the grace to deal with it. That is all I am saying. That’s like saying if a Christian wasn’t healed from cancer they didn’t have enough faith. Everyone is not guaranteed a long healthy life. We live in a fallen world with many trials and tribulations.

Listening and agree are two different things. I heard what you had to say and I thanked you. I just disagreed with some of it. I have seen many of my friends settle for people who are not saved, or they walked away from the church completely for various unfulfilled desires. This is why I said everyone should ask themselves if they are truly committed to God even if the blessing takes a long time or doesn’t come at all. We don’t serve God to get something. That’s exactly what satan thought about Job. I appreciate you sharing your testimony. It’s just me personally, I would not tell someone that you don’t have enough faith if things don’t turn out the way they hoped. That’s not always the case. That is just a natural part of life. Pay attention if your previous generations struggled with sexual sin too, if so it might be a familiar spirit/demon and fasting and speaking outloud breaking the generational demonds ties might be necessary 3. What are you watching/listening to? what's triggering lust thoughts? pay attention to what's triggering the dirty thoughts and eradicate whatever is triggering the thoughts from your mind 4. Most importantly focus on Jesus (worship, time praying, fasting/praying)

The Bible says when you fall Seven times get up! Don't stay in it. Pray and believe God has delivered you and and it will be so in your life. God knows your heart desires before you even ask. Fast and pray, and belkin God. Read the word of God. Yes ik it's hard because I was once struggling with it. Our eyes and ears are gates to our soul. It means what you see and hear will make you what you become. If social media drives you to do it, cut it off. Is watching movies Make you to do it cut it off. If seeing women exposed because you to lust, don't Look at them, and stare. The Bible says "flee" from sexual sin, it didn't say stand and try to resist the temptation. There's a reason Why it says flee. Most importantly, God doesn't give us a temptation that we can't overcome. It means whatever temptation you go through, you can overcome it. We're prone to sin, because of our sinful nature. But that's why Jesus came to conquer it for us. Don't give up because Jesus already did it for us. Don't give up it'll be over soon, and there will be no more sin. If you fall Seven times, get up 8 times. God is waiting for you to call on him so he can help you. But if you stay and listen to the lies of the devil to make you think you are not Worthy of God, then you will keep falling into it.

Sexual temptation is something I struggle with in the past and am currently working on one never having premarital sex again and two learning to not put myself in compromising situations like a night club or abstaining from alcohol so not to get tipsied. Infact staying away from night clubs helps a lot! My prayer life does need to improve, after the suicide of my sister i had a bit of a block in my prayer life due to grieving/pain, but i have been going to a support at my church called Griefshare and started writing out my prayers and journalling and this is helping!!:). I am actively crucifying the flesh now more than ever by avoiding the night clubs, avoiding flirting online with guys or in person, avoiding alcohol, avoiding romantic comedies or too much hollywood romance movies or IMVU some chat rooms, avoiding becoming too emotionally attached to my christian guy friends, getting some more christian counselling and making sure God fills the hole in my heart due to grief NOT premarital sex/men. I definately want marriage/kids one day being age 32 female BUT I need to work on self control in this sexual temptation area and with my lust thoughts before i start dating/courting the right guy!! Also i have stopped reading romance novels or movies with premarital sex in it (which is like all hollywood movies these days!). I am also careful about my friendships with non christian females who are engaging in premarital sex because at times they can influence me in a bad way.. so I am drawing close to my church and christian friends :)! If anyone wants to talk about this please pm down below as I understand! Only a very few ppl at my church know i have struggled with this but a LOT dont but i was thinking of giving a testimony but not sure yet cos im embarrassed!! Most ppl see me as a strong christian girl and role model so this side of me is something that is often hidden cos im ashamed!! Maybe you are already aware of this, but some of the most empowering things for me have been hope, a more positive/high view of sex(not like the nonsense of the "sex positive" movement), compassion for others that I would otherwise be harming, and not letting guilt or shame stand in the way of repentance. This may be a little bit like the blind leading the blind since I am not totally free of it yet(I have gone from looking at porn all day every day to generally going weeks without it but succumbing to temptation to look every few weeks or every month and not looking at stuff containing/exploiting real people but it still is not good). But I have made a great deal of progress. I have learned to actually see sex as a wonderful thing, rather than just paying lip service to the idea(many people say "sex can be a beautiful thing", but I am not sure they believe it or simply mentally assent to it). At this point, the idea of watching hardcore porn or ogling real women just seems crazy an untempting to me like an invitation to an orgy or something, but I still occasionally struggle with temptation to pursue arousal by looking at sexualized "cartoons", drawings, video games, last time was looking at "graphic novels", etc and it is easy to rationalize when I am vulnerable because I say to myself that the only person I am disrespecting or harming is me, and I sure don't feel harmed. My greatest vulnerability is not trusting God and thinking like he is a big ol prude or a killjoy. I know he isn't when I am in a good state of mind. Seeing sex highly does not mean obsessing over it, being licentious, thinking unrealistically about it(like romance movies), or seeing it like a "sex positive" person(who say that it is just casual fun and do not see it highly enough). To me viewing sex highly means recognizing that is was and is meant to be wonderfully loving, fun, bonding, clean, virtuous, generous, and satisfying(even if realistically, it will not be "perfect" every time even in a great marriage). One of the best arguments for this in my opinion is to look at all the horrendous evil that sexuality causes! God would not have made sex if it wasn't worth it but he decided that it was worth it(just like life is worth creating and living despite evil). But to be worthwhile, sex would have to be profoundly good, and it is! Temptation gets the better of me when I act like Adam and Eve and subconsciously think to myself "God is unfaithful and keeps good things like sexual pleasure from me!". I know that God isn't a prude and wants me to get a wife and have a good marriage, including sex! But I have to remind myself sometimes and sometimes I am deceived by the lie when I get really aroused and caught up in a temptation. Last time I even considered to pray for help to empower me to stop, but I chose not to because some part of me(a broken part of me or maybe some sort of demon or something) said to me something that if put into words would look something like "If you pray for help, you will probably be empowered to put a stop to this. But that would leave you feeling unsatisfied and you will miss out on the excitement!". To accept this lie is to believe that God is unfaithful to me and that it is his will for me to always be sexually unfulfilled or that he is just a big killjoy. When I am sober-minded, I know that if strong sexual urges are resisted and I redirect my focus(especially with exercise), they will be weakened. But when I am under the influence of these thoughts, I feel like they will last forever until I give in so it takes a leap of faith not to give in. You should not give into shame but you should consider and come to terms with how your behavior is harmful to the men involved, not only yourself. I am >>not being condemning here

THE VOICE STARTED TO SCREAM IN MY EARS " I LOVE YOU " I couldn't resist the voice it was touching my heart so I got back up again and started to pray and read the bible again during that the Holy Spirit was revealing for me THE POWER OF JESUS BLOOD. During prayer God opened my eyes and I got the revelation of the blood and started to listen music about "THE BLOOD OF JESUS" read about THE BLOOD OF JESUS. I GOT FREE !!!!! Even when it tries to tempt me I declared "THEIR IS POWER ONLY IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS there is no such a thing written in the bible the power of lust JESUS already dethroned you. Devil you are the father of lies you have been laying me for 10 years you have no authority over me JESUS died for me on the CROSSE to be a victor not a victim. For all you guys "struggling" with this lust thing....... let's compare apples to apples here. Men are visually stimulated. Woman are stimulated by physical and/or emotional touch. A man looks at a woman and (within 3 seconds) has mentally decided if he would or would not want to have sex with her. (anyone who doesn't believe this is the actual mind processes of a man - is out of touch with reality) If the answer is yes it's because he determine that she is attractive/hot/sexy/pretty/cute/etc. (pick something). If that particular man decided to tell his partner that he thinks the other woman is attractive and women are smart enough to know that he has made that determination based on his conclusion that he would be willing to have sex with her. Men want the luxury of being visually stimulated and feel they should be allowed to do so without judgement. Here is where the apples to apples comparison comes in. We, women, are stimulated by physical and/or emotional touch so in order for us to have a similar experience to men's - we need to have some sort of "interaction" with the men we find attractive. So men - Wise up and recognize that your partner is probably jealous because she hasn't given herself permission to "interact" with other men for the physical and/or emotional connection (i.e. massage, hugging, intimate conversations, quality time, etc.) she would need to experience a comparable feeling to what you are getting out of "noticing" how attractive other women are. The next time you are feeling so sorry for yourselves for being misunderstood by your partner - realize that she doesn't misunderstand you at all! She GETS YOU!! That's what pisses her off! And if you don't want her to be pissed off - give her complete permission to go get a full body massage from the hottest man in town and spend the rest of the night with him sharing her feelings. That experience would (most likely) put her in a similar mindset as you allow yourself to go into every time you look twice at other attractive women! ONLY if you give your partner your blessing for her experiencing a similar mental rush ( in a way that pleases her ) to what you get from getting turned on by 'looking' at other women, can you give your own self permission to do what you do! Men you aren't stupid - you are just selfish! Either STOP sharing your own minds with other women - or start sharing your woman's mind with other men! If you don't want to do that then let that be your motivation to just stop!! It's a choice! That's it - A CHOICE!!

This was spot on for me. Those who struggle with sexual sin should really take this to heart - and always remember that our Father is merciful, forgiving and patient. Remember that you are a new creation in Christ, through faith. It is not of works. I struggled in this area for many years. It was so painful, and it became a vicious circle, where the more I sinned, the less I prayed and read the Bible, and that lead to more sin, and so on. Guilt tormented me. If this is your reality, trust God's grace and love. Trust that you are a new creation by faith in Jesus and what he did on the cross. The Bible says so! Then run to God, who is always ready to forgive. Trust Him with all your heart. He will do the work in you, as you continually Walk with Him. Have patience, seek Him, feed on Him, and you will start to see the change that He does in you! This is coming from someone who just recently started to realize who I am in Christ, and it has made all the difference. I am still learning so much, and I have a long way to go. I still struggle sometimes, but not nearly as much anymore. I am learning to keep trusting God and seeking Him. And the difference is remarkable. I pray for you who read this that you may see the truth 🙏❤️

@@naomivali3428 your not alone many of us having a hard time battl with it and gove up sometimes but with out the proper reason marrying is not an option it will only make u more disappointed if the fleshy fashion dednt meet..sometimes you uave to access your self there coukd be mire more than that fashion or desire the reason behind..you need to uave peace with your sekf and heart understand that only God can fullfill the longing you wanted to be fulfill within your heart..Hes the one thats always beside you whenever you are..Be intimate in spirit with God..Accept His love and then let Him descide when will you meet this guy fashionate about God to be able enough to love you as Gods want you to be love

For those struggling, try fasting and praying for however many days you can. And of course getting in the Word daily. Be persistent and you’ll get your deliverance. There’s a spirit of lust behind that’s why it’s so so difficult to overcome on your own. Remember what Jesus said about casting out some demonic spirits? Some are only cast out by prayer and fasting. And what you say, is what I try to relay to my fiance. We pray together, we go to Bible study, we go to church every week, but this is the one thing that holds us back. It’s so strong, sometimes it’s not about what I think that makes me fall into sexual sin, my body it’s wants and craves sex, sexual urges are so strong that it controls my mind and my body is sexual active all the way through. My heart races and my adrenaline spikes. I’m a man by the way. And it says in the Bible it is better to marry than to burn with passion but I don’t want to marry for sex and I want to be sure I’m making the right decision. I have gone about 6 months without sexual sin and now out of no where it came back, I prayed and I prayed that I wouldn’t go back to my darkest sexual past, everywhere I turn women dressed immodest, I am to blame but it makes way harder, sometimes I just feel like never going outside at all, sexual perverted society everywhere. Mark, i usually don't write comments on youtube videos, but i wanted to thank you, because your knowledge has helped me to understand what i couldn't understand my whole life. I've been struggling with porn addiction since i was a kid, even thought about ending my life because i've hurt loved ones due to this addiction and i couldn't figure out why i can't control myself, the things i do. That's when i surrendered to God and he changed my life. I'm only 1 month old in Christ and in this month God has revealed so many things to me about my past... and you being his vessel has also been a bless to me, to understand what went wrong and the scriptures. practical advice: 1. Always focus on the Cross/Jesus not the sin 2. Pay attention if your previous generations struggled with sexual sin too, if so it might be a familiar spirit/demon and fasting and speaking out loud breaking the generational demons ties might be necessary 3. What are you watching/listening to? what's triggering lust thoughts? pay attention to what's triggering the dirty thoughts and eradicate whatever is triggering the thoughts from your mind 4. Most importantly focus on Jesus (worship, time praying, fasting/praying)

Ur not alone. A lot of people go tru this. Its easier to just give up, but if God's kingdom was easy to get in then what are we fighting for? One thing I noticed is no matter how much u pray, if u dont keep urself grounded in God's word, u can easily fall back into temptation. God really does help when I pray. I can see him help me, but when I have no word of God to meditate at that point, it gets difficult. Pick a word, even if its just one verse, meditate on it, and sincerely ask God for a spiritual understanding, and d grace for you to practice his word. Remember God can help u if you re downright sincere. God is indeed real and gracious cos he helped me. Also pray to the Lord for a good partner that thinks the way God wants. That helps too. The spirit of masterbation is wicked. Having been married but when Jesus healed me, my husband divorced me, the only remedy it seems is to fall on my face before Jesus after having fled temptation & then submit it to Him. It's not at all easy. It's the most difficult thing I do, to be honest, but what other option is there? No one else wants to talk about it & asking for specific prayer with my new sisters for this isn't something I feel is appropriate. I tried it once & they avoided me, so I just bring it to the Lord. What else is there? The world is broken. Fasting & praying all night is soooo easy compared to this. I'm grateful for His Word & this Word as well. I already live a very prayerful life. That's not the area of change for me in this regard. I don't go more than a few moments without talking to God, but i also pray more formally in my prayer closet, often in the spirit & corporately, so that's not the issue. And I'm not ready for marriage. This may just be the cross that I bear in this life. Not at all happy about it but oh well. Praying, worship, and studying the Word is my new life. So I will pray much more for my flesh to be crucified. I'll give y'all a report in a few months & let you know how it goes. We just have to pray for each other. Y'all have my prayers.

I'm stuck between a rock and hard place. I am 19 I'm not pursuing love because I'm scared and also want to avoid the drama of it all. Even when I'm close to God I still can fall victim to self-gratification since it lets off things. I have self-control but even I'm weak to self-pleasure at times. I've resisted on many occasions. thank you so much for the video, I noticed the first reason was my why to fallen to it, so I start practice just the 1st reason, : not being devoted to God. to spend daily time to read the bible and pray, and whenever the sexual desire came in, I would pray for marring , I may not get marry still , it feels like the burden of my fleshly desire, would be lifted up on JESUS, thank you so much brother. it's been a month now, and I am continue pray and read the bible every morning, but also what helped me was fasting from food during the days when I have strong desire. thanks be to God for this amazing video
