Boosting also shortens life of rubber even its chinese. I boosted rubber 4 times my kokataku 868 which responded well 3 times but now it has been soften above all heavy doesnt even produce much spin Ma long uses booster just before the match and after he throws the sheets or give it to other low level players

If it's Hurricane rubber, then no. If it's the 38 degrees Big Dipper or Jupiter 2, then yes, it will feel like Euro rubber and will save you a lot of money!

My guess is that the direction of the curl depends on how well the sponge absorbs the booster and how much of the booster seeps into the topsheet. If it is absorbed by the sponge and doesn't pass through to the topsheet, it is probably because the sponge is relatively hard. The topsheet will still be stretched because the sponge it is attached to has expanded, but that will force it to curl as it has in this case (and I think he overcooked it this time, using too many booster layers). If the sponge is more porus the booster will more directly affect the topsheet and it will dome in the opposite manner.
