Ah! that response to my Q. about the existing dark lines beside the frame of the door you use these for shadows, thank you Lori, for another grteat teaching lessons od shadowing hour pictures, i never use black to do this i prefered to use the darkest colors of what color i've use before doing my shadows,, like for the house i would of use dark brown anf for the leaves dark green, i don't know if it's a mystake but this is how i do my shadow!

As always, a fantastic lesson. Even though this is the second time you've taught this, I think I learned much, much more this time. I think that partly the reason this made even more sense this time, is that I'm much more comfortable with coloring. Another is that since I always make a copy, I'm much more at ease with diving in and just trying. Afterall, many times I learn the most from my mistakes. Just make another copy, and make different mistakes each time. All in all, so much fun trying each technique that you teach. Thanks Lori!!!

I think that once an individual starts doing shadows and sees the difference it makes, is when they will start doing them...what they need to understand is that it takes time and practice just like learning any other technique ...and the more you do it, the better you’re going to get at it....I’m doing much better, yet there is definitely room for improvement.

Hello. Love your videos...I've learned a lot from you! I have a question on this one. Why didn't you cast a shadow from the light on the roof, over the door? Is it because the light removes the shadow?? I struggle with wanting to put a shadow on every single thing... For example, I noticed you didn't shadow the two rocks in the middle of the walkway. Is that an artistic choice, or is there a reason? Lol Thanks so much for all your wonderful lessons 🥰

Probably because It's only a 20 minute video and time sometimes doesn't allow me to fully blow out a picture. If I were producing a picture I was going to hang in a realistic style I would have put in all the possible shadows.
