Doc applies growth regulator to the lawn. Growth regulator can be applied to lawns that are healthy and strong during the growing season. Lawn growth regulator limits the vertical growth of the grass and much of that energy can be used by the lawn's roots and runners. The lawn growth regulator will slightly change the shape of the blades as well. Your lawn blades will look "smaller" and you'll have a tighter turf.

In Arizona we rarely ever get dew. The only time we get it is after a huge rainstorm like the monsoon season we will get dew overnight for one day then after that we don't have it until the next rain storm. Is not having dew an advantage or a disadvantage? sometimes I water for very little time at night like two minutes or go out with a pressure washer at night and make sure I'm only misting the lawn to simulate dew

Put out TNex last week, every other day mowing was a bit too tasking. I have a bunch of granular I'll try later in the year.

With my spreader (Earthway Even Spread 2150 Commercial) and this fine growth regulator, some of it doesn't slide down to the distribution holes when you get low on granules. I'd recommend if you have this issue to put more than needed in the spreader and make sure you know the exact setting to open and just spread that way. Trying to measure out the granules by weight for each 500-1000 sq. ft. section backfired on me. Hope that helps.

Doc, where are you getting your leveling mix (I'm in North GA)? I've tried your mix of play sand and screened potting soil, but I need a truck load (works great for spot repairs). I tried 50% Nutra Mulch/50% sand (got in bulk) on one spot and it's no good because it has peanut shells in it. Super Sod has some Soil3, but it is expensive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I keep watching to see how the ryegrass over seeded section of the lawn is doing. How’s the rye dying off and original bermuda waking up. Can you share an update, would be interesting to see of this was a good idea or one that should be avoided.

Thanks Doc. Your videos are extremely helpful. I’m in Pennsylvania and I recently just redid my landscape so I have a lot of bar spots in my lawn. I’m just trying to figure the best route and timeframe to put everything down. From what I read it looks like I should do it in these steps. 1. Aerate lawn 2. Lay down pre-emergent. Wait 3 weeks 3. Fertilize. I have the PFG 4. Overseed. I’m using midnight Kentucky bluegrass 5. Use humichar. I’m not sure if this is the correct order or the right timeframe can you give me your opinion? You are putting down growth regulator...I live in South Macon and my Bermuda is still not growing. I put humichar, pre-emergent and 10-10-10 once it started greening up. I also put down PGF complete 16-4-8 a couple of weeks ago. Why would my grass not be growing yet?

Hey Doc, just ordered a bag of dirt booster. I’m going to apply it on small yard (front and back about 4000 sq ft). I want to ask how do I apply the booster pack? Should I spray it on the lawn or use the 20:1 bottles (I have 2). Do I add the whole pack into a bottle or measure it out into a sprayer? I e been going through the video where your and your son applied the dirt booster but you didn’t mention how to apply the booster pack,

You can apply it any way you want as long as it gets on the lawn, then water in. One pack per bag is fine.

Not trying to be funny but this is one thing that I will never use - I would never put anything on my lawn to stunt growth - it may not harm the lawn but Im not taking that chance - tell your lawn not to grow is not normal for the lawn - just my opinion
