Hi, they are looking for times when you went above and beyond. I gave an example of a time when we were low on stock of a particular product on the shopfloor, this customer really wanted X product - I looked in the warehouse (although normally you wouldn’t find extra products as the shop is replenished throughout the day) but to my luck, I found the item they wanted and they were very thankful. It doesn’t have to be a true life example you can lie/exaggerate, as long as you know the purpose and outcome of showing good customer service. I hope this helped :)

Hi, thank you for your comment. Ah that’s good news - I hope it goes well! For retail, unless they tell you otherwise, always try and dress smart / smart-casual. Jeans, cardigan, shirt, polo that sort of thing perhaps. If you have any specific questions, I’m happy to help.

Hi, I sort of did detail some of the questions I was asked during the interview in this video. Make sure you know your previous jobs well (if you have any) such as difficult customers you dealt with, difficult staff members, difficult situations, that sort of thing. You most likely will be asked “tell me about yourself” or something to the effect of so make sure to show a side of you that is separate to work but at the same time link it to the job and progression and what you want from this job: mention hobbies and interests but they want to know your intentions for this job post and your interest in the field etc. at the end of the day, the interview is about yourself so it should be relatively straight forward. As long as you listen and think before you speak (as sometimes they love to word questions in a way that is complicated) and try no to overthink the question, you should be fine!

Firstly, not minimum wage - wasn’t at the time when I worked there and still not now, so the remark is incorrect. Secondly, no one likes a job shamer, do they now. Interesting you would search the video, click on it, comment and post it… when it most likely doesn’t concern you. Please be nicer towards people, because especially now, not everyone has the luxury and people do indeed have to pick up another job. You want supermarkets etc to be stocked and replenished, so take that into consideration. Take care.
