i made eight of these videos over the weekend, eventually you realise that there is really only one "person" talking cos the interrupt and over talk so much it's clear there is only one source making the "podcast", and they repeat stuff over and over - deep dive came up in every short i made and the "recipe" is exactly the same.

I'm amazed at the podcast feature (sadly english only) You uploaded 3 documents and got a 8min. I wrote a quick story, maybe half a page and expected a 30sec segment where they ask and answer maybe two questions. Nooo, this thing came up with 4:30 minutes of content. I can't use it for my purposes but i can translate it and record it myself and use notebookLM as a script writer. This is amazing

Lol, I actually wrote from the ego-perspective thinking maybe the podcast will be like "I" was invited to answer questions but no, they talk about the topic as two hosts that talk about different stuff each week. They literally opened with "our source for this episode comes from a very intriguing snipped called "eingefügter text" which is german for "inserted text" which makes you think it comes from a bigger document (second voice: right like a piece of a bigger puzzle)" This is so much fun already😊

excellent video! already playing around with the notebooklm and podcasting part but the video editing with two agents is really time-consuming. The easiest way for me is i generate 2 separate videos in heygen. one with male avatar and one with female avatar, then import both into capcut, then just cut up the two channels and delete the clips of the one not speaking.

I couldn't edit the audio in Descript, as it was asking me to turn on the Overdub feature, which is only available when you train Descript on a specific voice. How were you able to edit the audio from Notebook LM like that?

Mine didn’t ask for overdub. I just dropped the mp3 file and it transcribed it. I’ve only used overdub to clone my voice. But in this video, I cloned my voice with Heygen.

hmm I'm following these steps, however you didn't explain how you got your own voice on the version of the video using your avatar. When you make an instant avatar on HeyGen, it also clones your voice, so I would have thought that you would have to select your voice and then add the script - not upload the audio as you do in the video...??

Their ultimate goal is to make live, interactive AI-generated video that is indistinguishable from live, human-produced video. Vocal fry, filler words, awkward pauses, etc., are part of real human speech, therefore, they’re going to replicate them in the AI speech generation engines. The end product has to be able to replace human content producers for them to be able to steal the revenue those content producers would otherwise earn. If you can tell you’re debating AI rather than a real person, it’s not “good enough” to achieve their financial goals. They’re very much trying to replace us … except when we’re watching ads or clicking on affiliate links. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The hand gestures are what tips me off that it’s AI. They are not matching what is being said, just random movements. When watching the real you, your hand gestures are in alignment and appropriately emphasizing what you are saying in a way that makes sense and is typical of your gestures - when and how you make them. other than that I could not tell the difference. It’s getting better and better so quickly. What are we going to do when people do something bad with it? Let’s say Putin can claim Zelensky is dead and make a AI video and fool all the people? This has amazing potential, I can think of so many things to use it in my business. At the same time I can see the terrifying possibilities likely to come. People are already so confused as to who to believe and more and more misinformation disseminated has people unable to know who or what to believe or what the “truth” is. I love it and fear it at the same time.

lol. i did this over the weekend. i have been writing a book about my relationship with someone schizophrenic and when i came across google notebook i ran it through that to see how i might improve it, not realising i was really generating a podcast style sound track, i spent the day listening to AI talk about me and my relationship history - really amusing. addictive even. the AI does get repetitive though, and eventually it started referring to the male speaker as if he were me, and you can tell that really there is only one person - one AI - talking, cos eventually they interrupt each other and over talk as if it's one person speaking. it is a fun tool, but i think it still has a long way to go. months ago i started a channel for beginner guitar players ENTIRELY AI generated, it went nowhere, AI just hasn't got to the point where it can give you something unique everytime. (see the latest on my channel).
