WOW! What a film! If you love WW2, double agents, heroism, and George Sanders, then buckle up because this film will take you for a ride. I absolutely loved it. Thought I’d seen every WW2 movie worth watching but this is one of my favorites now! Thank you for uploading!

Sanders was great in every movie, tremendously versatile from cad, villan, hero, comedy whatever. Nobody today matches up!

I agree 100% with your admiration for Sanders. I recently saw his appearance as the ethereal god 'Indifference' looking down from the galaxy on our human race with disdain in HG Wells 'The Man Who Could Work Miracles'. His portrayal in Samson and Delilah saluting the sky as the temple fell on him summed up his marvellous ambivalence to all human follies.

As to his singing voice, find his LP album on KZbin by searching “The George Sanders Touch -Songs for the Lovely Lady”. My nickname for the record is “swoon croon”. One song, “Such is My Love”, he wrote himself-words & music. Any guy needing a great Valentine that won’t cost a cent, get this on your phone and put it near her pillow. ❤🎉😊👌

Here we're introduced to one of my favorite Actresses, Gale Sondergaard. American born and a star ( first female supporting Academy winner ever in her first role ) in every role she ever took. Unfortunately for her that her 2nd husband was caught up in the Film and Theater Communist Black Listings and he even went to prison in the early 50's. Except for some Theater work when she and her husband moved to New York after his acquittal and release she didn't play any film roles for 2 decades which was a shame not to have the enjoyment of her talents through more film roles.

Great flick! Can watch George Sanders in anything. Good show, old boy. Love how they even got the 'newsy' there at the end. Old movies always tied up all the drama loose ends. Even the newsy who thought he betrayed England was at the awards ceremony, realizing Wilson was not a traitor after all.

Sir Douglas - the actor who plays Wilson's father, in real life was George Sanders actual real father. When the irony of this 1943 movie is that is was as much Propaganda for the Allies made by the Americans during World War Two.

George Sanders accent is not the British Im used to. Its almost Mid-Atlantic, like Kate Hepburn in her day. Upper crust, but almost imformal in a way. Either way, its very pleasant to listen to.
