I value these videos very much. I lost my dad 7 years ago and it warms my heart to see you and your dad working so good together. This car is so awesome to me. The way you engineer some of stuff is so amazing to watch. The pedals, shifter etc. This car when done will be priceless. The reason for that is the love and care that you show in every phase. Thanks for sharing.

The passion that you and your dad have, not only for Mozzie, but for vehicles, engineering, beauty and value are such a breath of fresh air. I, for one, see it in each video. You don't have a deadline you're pushing for, or a car show to get to for fame... you have a deep passion for doing the best you can for the application, and for the senses (the look, the feel, the experience). I've said it before, I'll say it again.. your videos have nearly ruined every other fabricator for me. They may have the fancy equipment, or a team of helpers, but they fall short on the magic of passion that you and your dad have. I simultaneously can't wait for Mosquito to be done - to see your joy at driving the best tailored car, and am dreading her completion and the loss of updates on the next step of the process. (Then again, I'm hearing there are more cars in the pipeline, which brings the excitement back!) Have a wonderful holiday season, and a blessed New Year!

As a maintenance engineer in both heavy engineering and mass production I often had to be quick but you can't afford to be dirty. I've often pe'd off production managers when I was pressured to bang something together and just carried on to finish a job right ( didn't always in my youth but learned to do it right and do it once) a temporary fix is ok as long as a perminant fix follows asap. Had to run a 1"" airline 50' down a bay when I was twenty ( used a rope wound along a gas pipe above it to suport it) it was still there 25 years later and it buged me every time I walked by. Great engineering, lovely videography and great chemistry.

Probably bang on the money here with this peeps . Grandparents and everything. Most people need something to relate to to be interested in subscribing. Your channel kinda ticks multiple boxes, not necessarily car related. Your correct with the suit thing too , been broke without a penny, had money, lost it , had a house, been homeless, slept in the back of a lorry and industrial unit, worn clothes and shoes with holes in etc etc . Back on my feet yet again and can still dine and socialise with quite wealthy individuals at black tie events. My secret is be adaptable, take nothing for granted and take responsibility for your decisions . The main reason I’m survivor is down to my grandfather’s old school morals and my father teaching me engineering. Being confident and competent with practical skills will ALWAYS see you right , get you out of tricky situations and bring some money in . Now Oliver with the new skills you will be learning with the upcoming fibreglass shenanigans you’ll be able to mold some new seats for your car that you’re happy with. And I think your good lady deserves a walk in shower lined in fiberglass for the new bathroom your now going to have to make 🤭🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿😉☃️🎅 Merry Xmas everyone.

Watching you and Andrew working, Andrew uses an angle grinder with real skill. I never owned one - but really wanted one. My daughter moved into a new house recently which I renovated / decorated. One task was to use the angle grinder to straighten a length of concrete path that someone had laid very badly. It offended my OCD. After 20 minutes work it no longer does so. At 76, I will never build a car but look forward to the next time I find a use for my angle grinder. 😀 Thanks for sharing....

Yes to all of this. As a maker I strive to be as good as I can, particularly when I make something for someone else. I am currently working on a project long in the consideration, and just as long in the production of, because it is so involved. Not so much expensive in cost terms, but a lot of time invested. SO , I want to do as good a job as I can, and not to feel disappointed in the result. To that end, I have no compunction in doing over something if it is not as good as I want it to be. WE are in too much of a hurry to get things done. Instead , take time, and value what you are putting into a project. At the end of it you will feel better. The biggest compliment is to hear people say " did you make that",a nd to be all to say yes.

You are absolutely right! I enjoy your videos on several levels. The striving for things to be absolutely right, as. I do as a woodworker and indeed as any craftsman worth his salt should is imperative! To know what you want from life and not to be afraid to put in the hard work required to achieve it is so admirable. On a lighter note I know you love your cycling too. I was delighted to recognise a Dura ace 7400 crank being utilised for your throttle pedal! Keep up the good work. Chapeau!

Thank you both, certainly not "quick and dirty" I look forward to each episode of this journey. The relationship between you is very familiar to me, my dad was also a remarkable engineer with energy and imagination for two normal men. I'm proud of his blue cowgown with a Zeus book and micrometer in the pocket more than any of his suits though. Thank you and all the best for 2025

Well, Oliver! Now you've upset me!!! I'm in the parts collecting phase of a car project. I've had the car about a year and a half, and I knew what engine and transmission I wanted to use, and I knew what I was going to do with the rear diff, and I had a good idea about what I was going to do with the front and rear suspension. I even had a somewhat close idea on what wheels and what steering wheel to use. So, several months ago, I found some wheels that were "pretty close" to what I wanted. Used, clean, a good size, and maybe two steps away from "perfect". And did I mention CHEAP?!? So I bought them. But now, after watching your video, those two steps, are just too many steps away from perfect!!! It took me a year to find these wheels, and in less than twelve minutes, they became inadequate. Would you have a couple thousand extra dollars that you could hand me, so I could go buy the exact wheels that I'd like?!? Perfection ain't cheap...

Agreed! Taking time to carefully craft something is a rarity these days. Unfortunately most times it is undervalued as well. 🦟🦟🦟
