Pues si. Se suele limpiar .Logicamente en la zona de contacto es donde se acumula .

Every 2 weeks they clean runways & big airports. They have special machines. Normalmente en los grandes pistas de despegues ellos tienen una maquina especial para limpiarse.

How does the fuel reach these airports? Is there a pipeline from Tarragona or Valencia or is the fuel imported by ship? Also when you make those sharp turns how do you stop the fuel in the tanks from splashing around which I often thought would affect control of the aircraft. There are reasons why cars & lorries only have fuel tanks they size they do.

The fuel comes via ships. There is a safety triangle for boats just off the coast of the airport to wait for unloading of the fuel.

In order to prevent the fuel from moving during turns the tanks are equipped with baffles that restrict the movement inside 😃
