i was diagnosed as of 7/8/2022 with MSA, THINKING A;LL THIS TIME IT WAS PARKINSON DISEASE BUT MY SPEECH HAS GOTTEN TERRIBLE AND I KEPT FALLING ALOT. SO I WAS FINALLY DIAGNOSED WITH MSA, I AM VERY APPRECIATIVE OF THESE VIDEOS. IAM LEARNING ALOT AND AM DEALING WITH IT THE BEST I CAN, I GOT A COMMJNICAITON BOARD FROM THRU MY SPEECH THERAPY CLASS AND IT HAS HELPED ME TREMENDOUSLY. I JUST LIVE MY LIFE TO THE BEST I CAN DO AND PRAY THEY FIND SOME HELP TO THE ONES OF US THAT DO HAVE IT AND GOD BE WITH EACH AND EVERY0NE OF U!!!!

God bless you dear! This year two companies like Biogen are expected to share their results of clinical trials for new drug for MSA P. I pray to amighty to heal you soon! stay positive. Keep yourself strong mentally, you will easily overcome the physical challenges. Best thing in MSA is t TAKE PRECAUTION ALWAYS,NEVER MULTI TASK, GO FOR PHYSIOTHERAPY(it really helps).

You have a very positive comment. My sister also has MSA she is a lecturer, politologist, unfortunately her speech became terrible, and she stopped giving lectures😢, did your speech improve after treatment?

My father's symptoms started with urinary retention in 2019. In 2021, he showed signs of ataxic gait and slightly slurred speech. In 2023, he had episodes of syncope leading to orthostatic hypotension. The doctors are still not sure whether it's MSA-C because the MRI doesn't show any hot cross bun sign. He is 56 years old and currently undergoing treatment at AIIMS, Delhi.

Very interesting lecture. My partner was diagnosed with parkinson's disease about two years ago. He does not have tremors. He doesn't asymetrical symptoms. He doesn't respond to levadopa. He has dropped head syndrome and requires a walker due to balance issues. He also has autonomic disorders with his blood pressure and heart. Recently hospitalized for "flash pulmonary edema". We attend parkinson's support groups and webinars but my partner does not resemble in any way the other patients there. Most of his doctors aside from his movement disorder doctor, are very skeptical of his parkinson's diagnosis. I believe and some suspect he has MSA. Is there a test we can take to determine if it is MSA?

My husband has something no one can diagnose. His mom had OPCA and he has the same slurred speech and unbalanced walk but his comes and goes everyday. Dr says it's not OPCA. Where are you located? Perhaps he can be seen by you

This was my mum to a t. Top Parkinson man in UK didn't even diagnose her. Only after her death and brain donated to medical science did we find out.

@@bigg368 Brain MRI ? My wife did this in 4/2017 and the Radiologist gave the diagnosis before the doctors: MSA CEREBERAL TYPE. In the next 6 months all the doctors in hospitals said Parkinson. They were wrong. In 11/2018 they gave the final diagnosis. Patience. Greetings from Greece.

My father died of Parkinson’s-related causes and he went through hell. My father went from a 200 pound 6’1” ex U.S. Marine to 120 pound 5’7”. He looked like he had been at a Nazi concentration camp for five years. And I am not exaggerating one bit.

@@YingLiu-yk5ix I try yo live a life as normal as possible, I have found that I need to sleep at least 10 hours at night and rest during the day. I take propafenone for arythmia, pregabaline yo help with pain, clonazepam, that helps with sleep disprders. Escitalopram, which helps both as an antidepressant and to help with blood pressure, I use oxygen because of diaphgragmatic weakness AND a bi-pap ay nights. Take resotrans for gastroparesis and have had an indwelling catheter for 8 years because of neurogenic bladder and try yeo walk when I don't feel too tired. I use a computer yo write, as writing by hand has become todo painful and try yo stay calm as much as possible.

My husband was diagnosed with young onset Parkinsons in 2017 (he is 48). His condition progressed fairly rapidly. It started on the right side. It's starting to move to the left but not too extreme yet. But from 2017 to now, he has had to quit is job, he falls often, has difficulty eating, etc. A Duke neurologist diagnosed him with MSA. He wanted a 2nd opinion so he is being seen currently by a neurologist at a Veteran Affairs PD center. They are confused and basically said "i dont know if it's a bad case of Parkinsons or a mild case of MSA". He wants the brain surgery to have dopamine inserted continuously but they wont do it until they make a diagnosis because it wont work if he has MSA. We feel lost with what to do and what to expect.

@UCpnqFOhoHscAVpuTBpeXfYQ Sorry to hear , yes each side is different here too . one side has more damage than other . mms smoothed it so much its incredible. drs looked od testing me because my toes didnt go up or down when they used the pointy thing on bottom of foot and when doing the test where they shock you my ankles were none responsive so they would turn up the machine and raipd fire expecting a different result. 2 different drs did this .lol. if i get excited my right side shakes more than left but left side number more numbing damage with face also . Hope you and your husband find comfort. You should research mms and mke your own mind up if you want him to try it. I couldnt take anything , i was all sideeffects already . I had a saying get of the dope 'levadopa" that is .........i have a good one . I had 3 g.i. drs for heartburn . my testign showed moderate to really slow digestion . they had me taking ethro , prilocet and 12 pepcids a day leaching my bones of every mineral i had till ym heart strarted messing up when I felt about to die. One dr. wanted to give a no fda approved "not that that even m,atters " but from canada and made for women to lacktate to breast feed . i said I feel Like lactating i pass ! Super arrongant drs at swdish hospital seattle would belittle eachother thinkin their better . It was kinda funny , exspecially when all I have to do is take h.c for stomack acid then change my diet to non gmo vegitarian and bammo , no hc for acid and all good in a week. i know , its hard to believ all that school and this was beyond them .loll. The wonders one can do with low I.Q and T .............. I wihs you guys the best luck , though it will not be luck that helps but actio n ...Thanks for the responce too ! I juts want to help others since i been throughit.

@@FeelinCLO2 you are an angel for replying so thoroughly, I have MS the prognosis is primary progressive and I recently noticed some symptoms that made me think of Parkinson’s. I searched for the two in this video came up and with it your words of wisdom. Even if I didn’t have both diagnosed you already have helped me by showing me possible and reminding me that doctors don’t know everything. I’ve been probing doctors about weird symptoms in my foot forever and now it’s happening in my hand all on the left side as well as many other symptoms. I had the spinal tap and the MRIs done in by almost 1000 different doctors all with the same diagnosis connection what have check their work. That sounds like I may not even have any blood cells play come on diagnosis? Either way we’re having checked again again I feel for your loss both literally and figuratively as I am typing talk to text and I apologize if there’s any typos but my vision has never been great and my hands and wrists have been in so much pain that it hurts to text not to mention use my wheelchair and walker. Did you see that there was a cargo ship that deployed to NASA‘s mission? A bunch of different companies but I think pharmaceutical companies so beware if I cost am I right?! I used to wonder how i would use a wheelchair while i was searching for grule recipies when I had to change my silver wear ebcause to heavy and shrp on edges. It was so hell my friend. never mind about typos .im the master of them .lol. Although I I take for ever going through to correct . Never mind Im remedial bigtime with a.d.d. and obby went to 6 grades. lol. bUt hey , even with an i.q. of 78 i did my drs and lawyers jobs for them .lol. I left my typos just for you this time. so can see the real me . Best wishs friend. as far as nuerologist i quit mine right beefore she wanted to to do a spinal tap . I was well aware that going through that pain wasnt going to help me at all . Plus my drs would tell my wife i was saing such weird stuff . Talk about awareness .lol. Then she would show up to work have drunk lloking road hard and put away wet .lol. I said enoughs enough ! Leave me be....drs sghould be aware that chasing symptoms helps nobody live another day . They practice medicen , not healing ....Good for surgery and broken bones but other than that allopathic rockefellar medicen doesnt float my boat . Pain , suffering and wishing death on ymself daily come to mind under thier care..
