Any doctor who is going to diagnose parkinson's should have to watch your video. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge- you just changed a man's life. A truly gifted doctor, like yourself, is rare. I can't help but admire your passion and envy your mind. ~~Amy

This video has been exceptionally helpful. My mother has occasional tremors and I'm trying to find a way to help her. Her doc has seen one video and shrugged "possibly tardive dyskinesia." UGH!!! Your video has helped guide me in what to look for, eliminated a few, and guided me towards an answer. Thank you!!!

I acquired Essential Tremor and Orthostatic Tremor from a stroke caused by a neck injury which tore my brain stem and damaged both sides of the cerebella. My vestibular system was severely damaged as well. This occurred when I was 41. I am 71 now. It does not run in my family. I don't fit your model. The majority of Neurologists have not looked closely enough into this debilitating condition and do many people an enormous disservice in minimizing the devastating effects this condition can have on a person's activities of daily living. Such victims deserve to be taken seriously by their doctors. If you were afflicted with this condition, you would wonder at how insensitive and cavalier doctors can be to some of their patients. We deserve support and understanding rather than condescension. I have a masters degree in clinical psychology and your easy dismissal of tremor as being psychological is concerning to me. It would also be concerning to many Neuropsychologists who are on the leading edge of research.

Please inform orthostatic tremor can occur at any age but is mostly seen in elderly. Also, it can occur a bit during (slow) walking but not often. It can even occur with lifting/using the legs while sitting or laying down. This information will help prevent misdiagnoses especially under young people who might be suffering for years like I did. Thankyou!

This doesn't show real understanding, but book memorization. I am frightened that many young neurology students are satisfied with regurgitating their books and not familiarizing themselves with the most current research data. It's appalling to think the public are being subjected to very outdated attitudes toward these tremors.
