We dyno test the claimed power increase from switching to APR coil packs and get a bump in power and torque. These are for the EA888 engine found in our Audi S3 8V, MK7 Golf R and Gti plus others from From the VAG brands. Our car is tested with the RacingLine stage 1 tune, a modified airbox (check out our video on it), CTS inlet elbow and a cat back exhaust. The existing coil packs are the latest version and have covered approximately 35,000km so not too old and are spark plugs are new. Worth doing? Yes, especially if your coil packs are getting old.
