Hi AG, my Grandma and Mum used to always use French onion soup. After WW1 Aussie soldiers came back with the recipe of it. It became very popular. Some bright bugger cottoned onto making it into a power form, and that is how it came to us now. So I was told.

French onion soup is the best thing! Nothing like French onion dip with crackers, French onion bread (use the soup instead of garlic mix with butter and cook like garlic bread for a twist)
