I wanted to make this for dinner tonight but couldn't find the apricot nectar at the stores I shop. However, there was pineapple nectar and mango nectar available. I did half and half of each, added some finely chopped ginger, and some worcestershire sauce and it was amazing. I also used chicken breast instead of thighs. Your recipes are all easy to follow and quite delicious. As always, thank you for sharing.

Hey chef, made your Birria tacos recently and everybody loved them. Could you do some type of enchilada recipe? I've found all the current recipes difficult to follow as you have to get all these special chillies or spices that arent commonly available in most stores, so you have to order them ahead of time which is a bit of a hassle. No offense, but some of your macros make no sense.. 60 gram of couscous alone is already well over the 119 kcal you detail our in the video.. add in the oil and the couscous is part is more like 250kcal alone.

Macros for the Couscous are wrong. 300g of dry Couscous is over 1000kcal alone, around 1200kcal with added oil, 5 portions, so its around 250kcal per portion
@ChefJackOvens Жыл бұрын
There’s your key word, DRY cous cous. Calories change when cooked
@peejayfromhell Жыл бұрын
@@ChefJackOvens oh come on Chief... 2:07 you are adding 300g of dry couscous, you said that yourself. Of course the cooked couscous will be less calorie dense per /100g as it's gonna absorb the broth. Doesn't change the fact that you are using 300g of Dry couscous with 20g of oil which is around 1200kcal then you divide it between 5 containers, so one portion of it is around 250 kcal
@ChefJackOvens Жыл бұрын
@@peejayfromhell yea dry cous cous and cooked cous cous are two different calorie amounts. The calories are in the video for the cooked amounts. Lots of people don’t understand that things change when cooked
@peejayfromhell Жыл бұрын
@@ChefJackOvens ok but that would mean that only half of the couscous goes into meal prep containers. The macros you show would be OK if you were dividing the entire pot into 10 portions
