Thanks Joe, this was a simple but clever way to film the eclipse. Your little dogs are very sweet. 🌙🌒🐶

@@Joe_VanCleave I want several, one that reads on the back Please Don't Feed the Animals...and on the front it would read: Animal Another I want is Back: It's the future, and there is no need to pull my finger, I'm now on automatic, with motion sensors, only on when Status is Active. Front: STATUS: ACTIVE A White T-shirt BACK: Can you Spot the White Dot? Front: Clue: There are two on the back, and four or five, well six on the front. The O's are the dots. Lol. Things I think about while eating cereal or driving. Cheers friend.

Awesome! Maybe you can do a time lapse and put it all together in like a 30 second clip. Incredible to see a foreign body in space flying infront of the sun

Love this video! As someone who missed out, it helps make up for that and I love the narration!

Great way to film the eclipse. In the past I have looked at partial eclipses using a "pinhole" in a piece of thin cardboard or paper and projecting it. Works pretty well (even when it's a little cloudy) and of course very safe. Ever try it?

Yes, I’ve built several using cardboard tubes, a pinhole at one end and a view screen in the other.

Actual astronomer here, yes the high tides during every new moon are actually slightly larger, colloquially they are called spring tides. Not enough gravity to cause earthquakes. However tidal forces on Jupiter's moon Io do cause tidal heating and thus vulcanism and quakes so it is possible with enough pass and proximity!
