Shelley, I enjoyed seeing all of the embroidered dresser scarves, etc. My grandfather embroidered and he was so neat about it that the back was difficult to tell from the front. My mother gave me a pillowcase that was her last piece of his work. That part of this episode put me in mind of it. Thank you for sharing those finds. Also, you are quite the enabler! LOL! I ordered the four-part Histoires De Moutons as well as a nice piece of linen. 🐑🐑🐑🐑

I’m kind of sad that the videos is over now. You carried me through 70 minutes of cardio this morning, and now I’m in my craft room cutting out my T-shirts to put together a T-shirt quilt. I’ve so enjoyed watching and listening. I love how you gift each other! How thoughtful! Liz, for your Shepherds Bush stocking, handstitch a coordinating piece of linen onto the toe area. Something that would be a toe colour. Red or green. Stitch onto it and add a coordinating cuff at the top to match your toe. I have loved stitching stockings. I stitched 25 of the Shepherds Bush stockings over the years for my hubby and I, my 5 kids and their significant others and my 13 grandkids. I do hope they treasure them. You both are so inspiring. Thank you my loves!❤ Edit: I remember what I was going to ask. I have a train case that I haven’t done anything on the outside yet. It has a bit of a texture, and I don’t know if Mod podge is going to secure motifs smoothly enough.. Right now it houses my Soie d’Alger and Soie 100/3. I would love to see your train case and what you’re going to do with it. It might spur me on to do something with mine.

Hello! It was a fun video. I especially enjoyed seeing the linens Shellie acquired. It reminded me of items I have from my Grandma and Dad (now 90). I have several doilies my Grandma either crocheted or tatted. And, as I am sure you are aware, dry goods like flour used to come in sacks. My Grandma would take those sacks, crochet or tat the edges and use them as dish towels. I have a couple of those as well. But is really special is that apparently, when my Dad was sick, my Grandma had him stitch Xs around the edge of a cloths to keep him busy. I have two of those which I plan to pass on to my two girls. I also have the treadle sewing machine and cabinet that belonged to my Grandma. Such treasures to have. Take Care

Move the houses to the other side and have a toe the opposite direction
@lizsmith5601
@lizsmith5601 Жыл бұрын
I’ve done that. I wanted the toe to go the same way to match the other stocking I stitched. You can take a screenshot of the chart and go to edit and reverse the picture. If it’s an iPhone you can find the reverse on top in your photos when you click on the photo of the chart.
@AleKateStitches
@AleKateStitches Жыл бұрын
Agree, I’ve flip entire charts when I’ve needed a stocking to go in a different direction to match other stockings. Moving the ‘toe’ charted section over to the right would work for sure & Liz won’t have to worry about having a short toe & your step mum won’t have to add the extra bit of fabric. I would flip the toe over to the right for sure.
