Please never apologize for "bad" vlogs! These are amazing and you are constantly working! There is no other channel that covers so much of their process as yours. I'm always blown away by how much you're doing and how many projects you can juggle at once! And then you always end up adding extra projects just for fun! Your versatility and talent is truly unmatched. It really sounds like you need a break in order to clear your head. I know that's not always possible with commitments to sponsors and patrons, but even if that break means just not filming as much and just sitting quietly more often to sew thats totally fine! You absolutely deserve it!

I don't think this video was boring. I think it was exhausting! You are doing so much and so many projects no wonder you are blah about things. You need some me time methinks, girl. Take care of yourself, please. I love all the things you are working on. I adore that black fabric with the red shot through. Very sumptuous. Your overlarge bonnet had me in hysterics but the end product was beautiful. Your final jacket and shirt/vest ensemble was beautiful but I have never liked the idea of leaving the animals face on the pelt, even if it is authentic. PS. Of your vintage purchases, I adore, adore, adore the first one, the grey 1950's dress with the white applique. You looked gorgeous in it.

Please don't apologize! Your output of projects is really astounding. I sometimes look at my sewing projects (many), take them off the shelf, think of what my plan for them, ... and then put them back on the shelf. You are inspiring in how much you accomplish! You are doing what I had dreamed of as a kid... to make historical costumes. I hope you get into a studio or theater costume dept soon so you can learn the biz side of the entertainment industry as well.

Love your videos! Because of you, I've been inspired to try and sew my own clothes based on vintage patterns from the 50s and 60s. As a beginner, I especially appreciate your thorough explanations. Thank for all the effort and care you put into each creation and sharing them with us ❤ Also the Hollywood dress exhibit! I particularly love the dress Audrey Hepburn wore in My Fair Lady at 18:09 and Vivien Leigh's curtain dress from Gone with the Wind at 18:20 ... sooo cool

At 18:32 I recognized that blue dress from the 1958 movie Gigi from the card game scene right away when I saw it I've seen that movie so many times. To bad you didn't also have footage of the elegant white dress next to it she wears in the scene at Maxim's. If you haven't seen it yet I recommend that you do with all the different style's it's a visual feast of texture and forms. Definitely a favorite to watch over and over. Can't wait to see future projects from you and hopefully my old injuries will calm down so I can work on mine too. Good luck on your progress going forward.

This wasn’t crappy!! You’re so creative and have so many ideas. I’m amazed at how quickly you draft patterns-something that would take me forever or fitting on the mannequin. So many skills that others don’t have that make you so interesting to watch. I’m not into historical clothing but love learning about it from you because of all of the small details you put into them.

Assuming that "capote" is from French, it would be "cap oat" or "cap-ought". The e at the end means you pronounce the t. "Cap-oh" would be spelled "capot"

Hi Rose. Yes comparing what she does and the other channel i see you on Townends and compare the staff they have there, what they do, and how stressful it is for them and all that Angela does. Not the same stuff and venus, but still very time consuming. It is very interesting, entertaining, and i learn from watching though.

@@alibabafurball Angela works hard - seemingly tirelessly. She is always pretty busy. As are the folks at Townsends, too! it takes a lot of work off screen to make a channel's content as interesting as what we see from both channels. I can't imagine ever undertaking such a process myself. My health wouldn't handle it at all - not even part part time.

Hey Angela, I think the bright green fabric might be a Chantung (hope I spelt it correctly), I've also seen it used for soft decor items such as cushions or curtains. My grandmother had a dressing screen with Chantung gathered inside the frame, it was a very pretty soft dusty pink...I loved that thing, but it 'disappeared' after she passed...I might have to drag out my DIY skills and make one for myself... You are very clever with all the drafting and draping, and everything turns out so lovely, I wish I had the patience to do that :))

I loved this video!!! You were lucky with some of those vintage dresses you bought, they looked like they were made for you, like the first three shown. Some of the best stuff is specialist sales venues like that. I am glad you were gifted those magazines and have the harper's bazar re-issue book. There is a UK one Mrs. Beeton's and that had a fashion magazine part with plates from UK and Paris sometimes. I like comparing the dates on the issues and finding clothing that seems out of place. I have seen a hat in a 1890's harper's bazar that would look more at home on a 1920's "flapper" outfit for instance. I would be speechless at the Hollywood dress display too lol. That outfit at the end was very good. The long coat is awesome.

I just thought you would like to know why I watch your blog...to see you making things...and on this video specifically, you talked your way past all that. And what you showed was all about you and your mom and your shopping finds...not that I mind shopping finds, but one project at a time. I do realize (because I sew too) that one rarely works on only one job at a time...but the great thing about video is you can organize it into separate jobs...so maybe you can have something to aim for in terms of what you post. Your shopping finds are so cool...where are you shopping? I'm stuck in the armpit of the south...and all the fabric stores are gone. There is almost no choice left.
