This is actually my favorite girl group release of the year so far. This song has definitely changed the typical sound of this year. This is very “Heathers” to me, very pretty and neat, but a little messy or dark undertone.

aquard Literally same. I was so excited to see them talk about this! What I think this song does so well is that it doesn’t get repetitive because it mixes it up so much while having a chorus that sounds so anthemic (similar to Love Bomb).

i didn't get a summery vibe at all , oh my mistake puts me in a kinda nostalgic , melancholic mood while still being catchy and fun ( so very weird) For Power Up , it's bouncy energetic and the chorus is what gives it its summer vibe, otherwise not really summer but definitely fun. Love Bomb could feel summery but the chorus is very filled in emotion for me (?) and changes the entire mood of the song from what could be very summer-like to very emotional , reinforced by the bridge.

This song, Love Bomb and Weki Meki's Crush are the current trifecta of girl group earworms clogging up my watch later list because I don't want to delete them after listening. Crush is WeMe's most interesting song harmonically to date, which is only to say it actually has a chord progression, but it also seems like it's trying to do something emotional musically. The Blue Bird is likely in my top ten girl group songs of the year. Out of a lot of great songs, it's one that rises to the top.

While I'm here, may I recommend pinkfantasy-iriwa? just debuted and the concept is quite unique itself because one of the members is a rabbit but ALSO the song itself gives off so many different vibes, both cute and sexy. Also have no clue what genre it is AND shindong of suju took a role in mv making I believe along with producing/composing (can't remember off the top of my head).

I think the reason why this give that summer vibe is because the synth has that Miami Vice feel to it and Miami is known for its summers. So with that association, this song has that 80s summer vibe where you see blonde haired girls with sunglasses in tight bikinis playing with a beach volleyball on the beach. Okay the last part is just my imagination.
