Along with the thing about no tv in the household, I started doing a thing every day where I set a timer for 5 minutes and do nothing. Just sit there with my eyes open in bed and just sit and it literally feels painful without my phone lol so I think it’s awesome that you’re really putting in an effort to teach your son how to be bored and do things other than sit there and stare at a TV or a phone. Learning to be bored really is a skill especially if you live in a first world country where entertainment can be in your pocket. I think in the future, you’ll be super happy you started his life like this and he will hopefully be a more well rounded kid with a lot of cool hobbies and skills other that just knowing how to watch tv.

Keep up your determination to be a parent who keeps them unplugged & active, more often than not. I raised 6 kids, all without a TV for the most part. Occasional video games yes, and occasional Disney+ when they were older, (which I regret now) but we got enough books from the library to pay for the new wing, in late fees. 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ Children will whine and complain, anytime they get slightly bored. I don’t understand this generation of catering to a toddler’s /kid’s every whim. I took my kids on long walks until they were too old to sit in the stroller, meaning 4 or 5 (or they were too heavy to push!). The word “NO,” never hurt a child… But not teaching them to override their own self will, definitely does. You’re doing great! 🤍🙏🏼🤗
