Hi Ali! Congratulations to Phoebe on her goal! Also, if you want to keep cats out of your garden, you could try sprinkling the area with black pepper or cayenne pepper. Cats don't like citrus either, so if your rejig of the garden doesn't work, you could try tossing a bunch of orange peel in your garden. As for Dan's show, I also like to watch someone cleaning but I watch someone who cleans disgusting rugs. I find it very interesting to watch the pressure washer.

Our first chickens were ex-battery hens. Terrified of touching the ground to begin with, particularly grass. But it lasted only about a day and then they just started scratching away and were happy. One - we decided to call her Feryl (feral) - ‘went bush’ a day after finding her feet. We assumed the worst, but she turned up two weeks later looking fat and healthy. She had a feed, slept over, then took off for the wilds again. We lived adjacent to a regional park and there were unsubstantiated rumours of a coven of hens living their best wild life. I like to think that’s the case. The rest of The Ladies were wonderful additions. Like a pack of happy dogs, they were free range on our large property. They taught us their language without us knowing. One day, while gardening, we realised we knew their “ooh, shiny black spider” pounce-and-eat noise but one of them made a particular sound and all three of us humans looked up at the sky, because we had learned the sound of “look out, raptor overhead” (falcons). I miss The Ladies very much. Sorry, long post!

There's literally a video game called Power Wash simulator entirely because power washing is so satisfying! All you do is power wash and clean people's cars drive ways etc. I totally see where Dan is coming from 😂

***”Shake Away Cat Repellant is non toxic and organic. We use something similar to keep big dogs from “doing their business” in our yard…and the owners not picking it up. So happy that you’re getting some rescue hens! We have done it ourselves and it is so rewarding. We had six and only a couple could actually walk when we received them. It was pitiful to see and they had very few feathers. Seeing them “ come back to life” was magical and through all this the poor things still kept laying! They grew into lovely chubby fluffy hens and lived a long and happy life pecking around the garden! You will so enjoy them x

I also love to watch Kate from Last Homely House: she is more of a quilter, though she does knit and crochet. She also has a gardenchannel, she lives in a cottage with a large garden, where she recently added a big pond and a lovely shed. And she has a goose, named Eileen. 'Come on, ...' Me and my boyfriend watch Martijn Doolaard; a Dutch man who is renovating two cabins in the Italian Alps. He works alone, sometimes with volunteers, but he works slow, deliberate, tries to keep authenticity and the style of the old cabins. His video's are gorgeous and it is so lovely to watch them from the start of the project. And he has chickens now!

Yes, big success! Consider something that I try to go by when a new plant at the garden center catches my eye and that's to purchase 3-5 of the same plant. It makes a bigger statement, fills in and provides a story to your garden instead of it looking like random choices that may or may not be weeds.

You were speaking about what you watch on KZbin. I like watching the lawn clean-up some people do to help others, without charge. Preservation and renovation shows, like "The Old Byrd Farm" in Waverly Hall Georgia USA. Mr. Wright is preserving/restoring an 1880 farm which had been let go and unoccupied for 2-3 decades. It is looking good. He has some help from friends, when they can. I have watched Penelope Keith and her series on Britain over and over.. I admire the skills people have watching these types of shows, and their kindness in helping others...

Cats hate coffee, we get used grounds from coffee shops for free and spinkle on the areas cats used to use. It's also great for the soil

Lol dan! Im addicted to carpet cleaning videos. Where they are so muddy you can't see the carpet to a beautiful clean area rug/ carpet. It's comforting in a weird way! Lol it relaxes my nerves and for some reason helps my adhd! Lol it drives my hubby crazy though because he there's water splashing in my videos lol

Ali, I've noticed before that your thyroid looks a bit enlarged. I only mention it as I had an enlarged thyroid but my bloodwork was normal. I had to get a CT Scan done for my back and it also showed a nodule on my thyroid. After further testing, I had to have my thyroid gland removed. I apologize for getting personal but wanted to be sure you have it checked if you haven't already. Love your vlogs!

For your cat problem, you can buy a spray at pet smart that will keep cats away. We’ve used it around our cars so cats wouldn’t sit on them and poop around them. We have no more cat problems.
