I also finished 6 books in April. I finished off the last two books in the Magnus Chase Trilogy, I read the 2nd Bridgerton book, 2 new adult romances by Elle Kennedy, and finished a nonfiction book that I've been working on since January.

I'm sad that daughter of the moon goddess didn't worked for you though it had the complete opposite effect for me. I guess it does make sense since you like to read longer series by robin hob or wheel of world series but they bore me out. I loved how Sue Lynn Tan was able to tell such a gripping tale in so few pages where each page had so much to say... moreover her take of the original myth was so fascinating and mesmerising. I also loved how our main protaganist wasn't just entitled to everything. She took her time in learning and getting frustrated like us but she at the same time was no damsel in distress and how it wasn't just a straight on love story..gahhh I'm just rambling now since I really liked the book so much...

I love your reviews! You give very good info about the story with out spoiling anything. I just picked up 10 books from Barnes and Noble today, some recommended by you, and look forward to diving in this month.

I agree with you about Fall of Babel. I know there were some big fans of the series that didn't think Josiah Bancroft stuck the landing, but I think he REALLY DID! I loved each book!

I always love how you describe Hobb. I’m living vicariously through your love of her work/characters because I haven’t made time for a reread this year. It’ll likely happen in 2023 for me and I can’t wait. 🥰 I read about 7 things in April so I’m pretty happy!

Justice of Kings was such a great and groundbreaking book. Character development is also incredible, both for Vonvalt and the main character. It also does creepy incredibly well

I finished Iron Widow this month and I loved it. Thought it was a very interesting concept and I loved the reimagining of the historical characters. Listening to you talk about Justice of Kings is definitely making me bump it up my TBR quicker! I'm also finally tackling The Way of Kings so my main goal will be to finish that this month.

I too read 6 books. I had an ambitious April TBR, but I didn't get to all the books I wanted to in April. I also read some manga. The books I read are: An Introduction to Japanese Society 5th ed, Owlsight, Owlknight, and Burning Brightly, which are part of the Valdemar Chronicles, Truth or Dare by Ariana Nash, (No) Sex in Japan: A Sociology of Sexlessness in Intimate Relationships, and I started reading Contact Moments: The Poltics of Intercultural Desire of Japanese Male-Queer Culture, and House in the Cerulean Sea.

I only managed 2 books in April. The 5th Mortal Instruments book and The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea. And started on The Atlas Six. Had way too much going on in April but here's to hoping May will be better! Already have 6 books picked out for the month, now if I can just get to them lol

Last month i read all three books of the Liveship Traders trilogy based on your recommendation and enjoyed them in the end. It was rather daunting to read at first given the small font coupled with the number of pages. I do plan to read more from Robin Hobb in the future but I’m giving myself a long break from her right now.

Justice of Kings author must have been a Scythe fan because each chapter starts with a quote from "justices" just like Scythe. This book is like a medieval version of Scythe, it's about an "apprentice" and a "justice" trying to work against the "system".

Hello from British Columbia Canada 🇨🇦👋👍♥️🤔🕸🕷🤡🎨🖌🐾🐾🐕 I am retired, I read so I dont shop. I listen to audiobooks while painting/drawing and walking to the store for groceries. 1 DNF couldn't stand the narrator's accent. I really enjoyed the Lady Darby mystery series (historical set Victorian shortly after Burke and Hare)😎 50 books in April. All free from my library
