The Beautiful Ones is so lovely! I loved the pure melodrama of the story (I mean this positively) and how the speculative elements were woven in. I think it's my fave Moreno Garcia book so far!

It’s been awhile since I watched a booktube channel and come away with several books that I wanted to pick up after learning of them from the host. I am definitely feeling that we are on similar wavelengths with our reading interests so hopefully this won’t be the last time I click off & rush to the bookstore with a wishlist of new books in hand! Just subscribed, looking forward to your upcoming content. 👍

It tested your love of reading 😂 I am the absolute same with HOSAB- possibly the worst book I’ve ever read. The disgusting repetitions of scents, poorly timed awkward sexual innuendos, pointless plot elements that had no impact and a manipulative ending that was SO RANDOM

The worst book I’ve read this year was Cemetery Boys…I don’t get the hype, honestly. It’s just badly written. The best book I’ve read is a duology called La História de la Diana by Florencia Bonelli, an Argentinian author. It was my first time reading 2 gigantic books in Spanish (it is not my first language) and it was so worth it. PS: it’s funny that you hated hosab-I loved it 😂 I just know precisely what I’m gonna get from a SJM’s book, I don’t expect anything outstanding. I just want to have a good time, and Maas always delivers it
