Aprilaire E100V w/ 8190FF Ventilation Dehumidifier Overview

My 8190ff was delivered today. I’ll be hooking it up to the e100 pro, which aprilaire said would work if I add a transformer to it which aprilaire also sells. What I’m wondering is, in the winter how do I get fresh air into the house since the dehumidifier will be not running? I had ordered a Panasonic ERV and decided to return it in favor of this product since I already have the aprilaire e100 pro

Can the Ecobee Smart Thermostat Premium control the ventilation separately from the dehumidifier? Since the the ecobee can detect poor air, I'd like it to control the ventilation.

The lock outs are too extreme-why woudl you want to bring air that s even 95 F and /or 60 per cent humidity into your house ?

I was wondering the same thing! So.... you encapsulate and seal the crawlspace to ventilate it all over again? What am I missing?!

Thank you for your question! We have developed these ventilation lockouts in conjunction with ASHRAE standards. AprilAire Dehumidifiers are capable of dehumidifying outside air, and some fresh air ventilation is better than no fresh air ventilation. We do offer more customizable ventilation options through our ventilation product line. Customers are welcome to adjust ventilation times based on their comfort level.
