Hey Stan, great vid. I did the same with my RS but used engine oil. Got rid of the noise. I think they put lots of wax on the chain from the factory so the chain does not rust.

But is engine oil viscosity good for the chains ? I think it dries much sooner than gear oil.

The Motul chain oil showed in this video is intended for off-road bikes (says it on the can), so it’s not surprising it wasn’t ideal for this bike. Have you tried a suitable (for road use) chain oil?

No I haven't tried any other oil as my bike is still in Adelaide now. I need to get it back soon.
