In this video we remove badly fitted carbon frame covers and repaint the frame dur to its poor condition underneath.

@@PXCBIKES annoying as fook - im just looking at buying a mille now and it looks like its got a bit of marring on the frame and im wondering if its off some nugget fitting one of those frame covers and damaging the anodised finish

@s1dew1nd3r4 When the electroplating is damaged on these, it's not possible to recover it without having it plated again

Hi I don't have the colour now as it was mixed and matched to the frame by a paint supplier

Mine was definitely anodized, 2008 model and it had a speckled finish to the frame not a smooth finish like yours, people did try to make the standard one look like a factory by painting frame and wheels, I had over a period of time four factory’s and three milie RSV, and I loved them , I’m living in Philippines now and have a Ducati Panigale, , I’ve tried and did locate a factory but was the other end of the islands , too much cost to get it down my end . So I just watch you and look at my old pictures and make do with the Duke . Keep knocking out the vids please .👍👍

Hi Chris thanks for viewing 👍 maybe some were then.... But the paint code for the factory is online... It is a metallic paint you can't see the metallic detail in the vid but it is an exact match.... The wheels are anodized..... Must be some nice roads over there in Thailand what's the heat like for the Duke?

I think what he is saying is that the factory Gen 2 with bronze frame was all painted the standard ones were electroplated. But the bronze frames were all painted. The speckles you say are metallic flakes in the paint. But it would cost an absolute fortune to turn a standard RSV in to a factory stripping the bike for frame painting, ohlins suspension front and rear, the bodywork alone would cost over 1k. And then the damper and wheels. Also it wouldn't be registered as a factory bike. So I don't think anyone would or could turn a standard into a factory it would be cheepsr to buy one. This bike on the video Is indeed a factory bike

Could have tried freezing it with dry ice , it makes the glue fracture
