hi I just bought one. absolutely no regrets.. I've a gabro eprom coming and I fitted a delkavic stubby exhaust. advised stubby for my bike instead of straight through trumpet type because the stubby has a little more back pressure.. it's bloody load and I love it... cool video !!

Mooi gereden! Pas mn rijbewijs kwijtgeraakt en heb alles weer terug nu. Zit serieus te overwegen om deze mille als 1e 1000 te halen. Ik kom van een zx6r die in beslag is genomen helaas, maar goed mn pa heeft altijd een rood blauwe mille gehad en dat reed echt geweldig mooi. Krijg weer vlinders in mn buik haha! Ik heb een Rsv mille uit 2002 genomen als eerste 1000. ik kwam van een 25kw a2 dus was een flinke upgrade, maar best te doen. kan het zeker aanraden

@@H34dshotMickey Ja het rijd mooi he👍🏻 Heb er toch maar een gekocht haha. Ik had al wat jaren 600cc gereden, en dit is dan een perfecte overstap. Niet te gek maar als je het gas flink opendraait kan het nog gek zat worden👌🏻

Does this bike corner well? Easy to hold a line? Thinking of buying one. Handling is more important than power for me. I'm becoming a bit of an Aprilia fanboy :)

It corners really well ;-) The aprilia RSV is known for good cornering and stability. Although this bike is quite heavy compared to modern bike the handling is really good. I've sold this bike and bought a 2004 RSV1000R. That bike 's a bit lighter and handles even better. Hope to create a video of my new bike soon! Thanks for your input. Weight is not always the most important thing, it's how she carries it ;) Might go for a newer model too but then I have to save longer :(

I have a 2002 Black Millie R, many people love the bigger look and sound. This bike will give more entertainment at slower speeds than todays modern sport bikes. My 2015 ZX10R does everything better but the fun level is not there because modern bikes have become so efficient. My bike is always garage so it looks new. I wouldn't trust one left out in weather.

16-42, Mivv exhaust. No other modifications as far as I know :-) Havent checked yet if it has an other eprom chip in it.

Ja. Heb nog niet veel gereden want moet 21 nov examen doen. Theorie heb ik al en avb ook. Alleen avd nog. Dat is makkie. De bike is wel meer wennen dan andere bikes. Qua gasgeven moet je goed doseren anders gaat het heel schokkerig.maar dat weet jij ook wel. En pas na her vierde rondje vond ik beetje de juiste zitpositie. Je zit vrij hoog erop dus ook dat is meer wennen.

Ik zag het aan de twee krasjes naast elkaar op het stuur. Ik heb m nu iets van twee maanden. Gekocht bij veltman motoren in ruurlo. Zelf woon ik in Goes. Maar deze bike zag er goed uit dus heb ik hem daar gekocht. Was jij de vorige eigenaar?

Ja, dat moet hem zijn! Ik ben idd vorige eigenaar. Mijn pa heeft mijn Mille ingeruild voor een 1098s en ik rijd nu op zijn oude RSV1000R. Het is inderdaad zo'n Mille, maar het rijdt als een beest ;-)

how does the 2002 compare to the next gen 2004 in terms of ergonomics? your height? thx

The gen 2 is a bit more extreme, mostly because of the higher foot peg position.

might be worth bleeding the clutch fluid, looks a bit murky. Nice riding though, and good choice of bike:-)

The clutch fluid getting dark is a common problem for these types of bikes. After a fluid change it turns dark in 500km of riding. It's no problem, everything works fine :)

+ipiZmaj86 Reliability is good of these Mille's. I do maintenance myself, so that's not expensive. But I don't know how much it is when you bring it to a garage.

florisvanderL yeah, bike is doing fine! I've heard the reliability of this model (2nd series of 1st generation) is best of all models.

iv had my rsv since 2001 thrashed it senseless raced for a season as well still going strong 15yrs latter . don't know how many ks but at least 70,000 Got an rsvr as well 2000 model had no problems except the rsv showa faulks broke internal plastic guides so put a set of 1198 showa cartridge internals in

je twijfelt nog wellis in de bocht met je gas, gas beetje open, gas wat los, zo verlies je vanzelf de voor of achterkant een keer, zorg dat je in 1 stabiele lijn en met licht trekkende motor de bocht doorkomt. met de bochten zit er nog wel werk aan.

Mike Blok dat zal wel loslopen hoor. Rijd inmiddels 11 jaar 10-15.000 km per jaar en nooit gecrasht. Neemt niet weg dat ik ongetwijfeld nog van alles kan leren, maar hoezo zou ik dat van jou aannemen? 😅
