I have the short tricks mam First Ratio of Sameer and Anand is 5:4 and after three years It's 11:9 So now present age of Sameer will be 4x3x2/1=24 Explanation I have take 4 from Anand first Ratio and 3 is time period and 2 is the defferent between second ratio i.e; 11-9=2 and now 1 is came from cross multiplication between first and second ratio i.e; 5x9=45 and 4x11=44 and 45-44=1. I hope it will somehow help to solve this types of questions in few seconds, which is very crucial for exam point of view.

Let me tell you one short cut for the last qn that you took in this session. First write two ratios respectively. Then choose whose age we need to find , then multiply with the difference of second ratio and multiply with difference of years and divide with the cross product of ratios. Eg: 5:4, 11:9, here, we need to find anands present age means '4' in ratios. So ,4*2*3 /1 .=24. (2-diference between second ratio,3- difference of year, 1-difference of cross product ratios.) That's all simple

Its way easy guys, generally ratios are multiples of the exact value for example if the ratio is 5:25 it can be written as x:5x where x is 5!
