I always get better reporting on APTN than CBC! Good research and a balanced view equals good journalism. Thanks for bringing up topics the mainstream ignores or downplays. Your story on the Yukon recovery center really got me. My sister lives in a similar "low cost housing with supports" with people who have disabilities and mental illness..drug dealers are free to come and go...and not kidding, one was abusing a brain injured individual and took over their apartment for over a year and was selling freely from that apartment. The management freaks out if anyone smokes a cigarette inside but look the other way when it comes to drugs, the place is nightmare. My sis, who has a back injury and no prior experience with drugs now keeps naloxone injections because people OD around her all the time. People who arrive post addictions recovery wind up back on drugs and dying there constantly.
