Well that's just small towns for you less resources, where I grew up closest hospital and cop shop were nearly an hour away too we had a doctors office but anything serious or needing a specialist you need to travel it's a trade off for sure no public transit in the country either etc. but no cops harassing people just for taking a walk either.

if you think that theres specialists up here... well your off by about 100 miles, only nurses and the odd doctor, but, they leave after a week or so, so only processed foods and a crappy (yet connected and comfortable) town, the library is probably the best thing that happened to this place in the past 10 years or so, the librarian pretty much knows everyone and is pretty nice, the underage and the people of age can use the computers and the wifi for free, me (being 12) has had only smiles from the librarian. other than that, its an old mining town clinging to its glory days, and that pretty much describes leaf rapids Manitoba in an nutshell
