People pretended to be butthurt because one triggered comedian decided it was offensive, I can guarantee that 99% of them taking offence at Apu aren't even Indian. I watched the show for years and it is CRAMMED with stereotypes - Germans, English people, Scottish people, I am Anglo-Celtic, I have a sense of humour, I love the absurd over the top (but very well-written, at its peak) stereotypes in the Simpsons

@@FluffyNebula Family Guy is just tryhard "edgy" humour. The stereotypes in classic Simpsons are harmless fun, and almost everyone is ridiculed at some point. I also like how they make just strange and eccentric characters out of cartoonish stereotypes - Apu is just an odd person, same applies to Smithers when he wasn't simply "gay", but specifically "Burnsosexual" haha.

Yeah, the show runners created all the characters- including Apu. He doesn't write it, and he was only hired because he can do a lot of voices. If anyone is offended they sure shouldn't be blaming Hank.
