I heard you say the tri pac doesn’t have to run for heat ,so why did the thermo king dealer set mine to run with the heat . Do the heat have a elec power setting

Down in Laredo this weekend the APU kept shutting down, throwing the Eng code, which I assumed was due to the 115 degree weather.

So this "Expert" doesn't know that you set the unit to stand by, or battery mode, by turning the unit off, then holding the selector knob for a couple seconds until the STBY light comes on? Wow, I thought salesmen were supposed to know their products well enough to at least operate them. Amazing.
