Hello. Thank you for the video. I’m having a problem where I turn on the apu unit, but the a/c emblem continuously flashes and does not turn solid green. Any ideas as to why it does that?

10w30 is all right in the winter, but why don't you run 15w-40 in the trucks throughout the summer?

If you going to pass on a comment, I'll say this. We changed our fleet to the Deere Torque-Guard 15W-40 and our oil consumption was reduced by 50-75%... A major truck fleet bought hundreds of new trucks. They ran the Deere product after the break-in period for the first 100,000 miles. The service manager dropped the oil pans on 5 of the deere trucks and 5 of the competitor's. The Deere pan was much cleaner and they switched the whole fleet over to Torque-Guard. IT might be more expensive, but when you burn less and can run longer between over-hauls, it pays dividends in the long-run. It’s because the 10w30 reduces the amount of ash produced thus helping eliminate strain on the regen system.

since the heater uses fuel to make heat it is separate from the apu itself look up espair for example the apu provides the electric to turn the fan light the glow plug fuel pump and the heater controls

When it started up sounded like it wasn't getting fuel. Kicked in after a few seconds tho. My last carrier had apu's that did the same thing. must be a fuel pump issue.

My old truck did the same thing plus it smoked a whole lot on startup, but I got assigned to a new truck and it starts up instantly, no issues at all.

ALT Alarms in this group are alternator, battery or system voltage related! Items that a driver can look for. Loose or missing APU drive belt Loose or corroded APU power cable connections Unusually low or high voltage at the truck batteries

It don't take a rocket scientist to work the apu....however it might to get the heat to work...you no everything has its downside n the apu is the heat....it NEVER works in the cold but hell yea it'll work in miami....lol

I know this is old but it takes more then 4 quarts of oil. More like 5 12 to 6 qrts. More on the 6 side. And if anyone overfill there oil just pull the 19 mm drain plug. On the oil pan. Unscrew it half way and oil will drain. It's messy but it's alot cheaper then going to a thermoking dealer. Them guys are straight up rip offs 1000%
