Please, gobo knuckles on the right with your c-stands, people. Safety first. Downward pressure on the arm's end should tighten the gobo and if you have the knuckle on the left, downward pressure on the arm sends your light into the head of your subject, gets you fired, and sends someone to the hospital for stitches. At 4:46 his knuckle is on the left. Please, just swing it around to where you're tightening with your right hand and yank downward and you'll see it tighten the knuckle instead of having the knuckle fail and destroy your light and hurt someone. Grips vs Photogs, grips and gaffers, back me up here. Knuckles. On. The. Right. Happy and safe shooting folks, peace.

A few things I found with this light. I've been using it pretty much everyday since I got it in February and it has gone massively green. I now have my BMPCC 4K at tint 19. Also, if you are going to get this light, don't upgrade the fan if you can. It will be a constant annoyance. Not loud on the recording, but the constant running of the fan just gets to me personally. I wish I had the option to decide on fan speed. Other than the very cheap build quality (too cheap IMO) the light does deliver on the power and quality you'd expect from an Aputure product. Having used both Nanlite and Aputure budget lights, I much prefer the Nanlite. It's just built better and it's not as cheap as the Aputure. And, I can actually get a Nanlite. :/ I do love the 200x in my studio, however, this light is far from the "perfect light". Also, my yoke cracks and pops like there is something broken inside when you adjust it. I might have a dud since I was an early buyer.

"gone massively green"? Damn that doesn't sound good. I was torn between Litemons 200Bi an Amaran 200x, thinking that Aputure is slightly more reliable brand and Godox having a bit more output, but the color shift sounds really discouraging...

Does anybody know the expected lifetime of this light? I'm looking for something that could illuminate room with fully adjustable indirect lighting with good color reproduction and this seems pretty nice indeed. However, when used to illuminate the whole room (for which the full power of 17000 lm is plenty) I would expect the LED element to age when used for e.g. 8 hours a day; what's the expected lifespan?

Yes, it is a VERY strong locking system even though it is plastic. I tested it :)

you cant attach fresnel to this light. Only compatible with 200d BUT. But you loose a lot of power.

It will not be a hard light for the fresnel. It will ‘work’ but won’t be a pure spot.

Thanks for the content man! Nice to NOT hear the fan of 200x, I was worried about that. I was looking for that kind of light that fits into my budget and I have seen the 200d too, but some have issues with noise that i´m not sure about yet. Do you recommend 200d too? Ps: I like your background, just inspire me. ;)

@@MomentumProductions1992 There is still no comparesment video of 200x vs sl150iibi.... Looks like they are direct competitors, at least in Europe the amaran 200x is 399 at the moment and sl150ii Bi is 405. I can imagine a video like that would get some views. I could not find even one.
