where is the WATER!!!

What's the point of running water through it for such a short run? It probably hasn't even reached the operating temperature.

@@blackdeck9112 Good deal, i know that and you are right, PROVIDED it's full of antifreeze;otherwise...those aluminum pistons expand too much and...big problem, engine never good for marine use again; must be pristine,or it won't go up on plane when loaded; BUT that is not what i wanted to hear,that is not the problem; The problem is the rubber impeller; without water you fried it,and the engine may/will.. seize when put in the water; But i KNOW you had the impeller OUT.. I do it like that too, for way more than 5 minutes ,(watch temp gauge)but: 1-- Impeller out,pulled with needle nose pliers 2--- full with antifreeze

@@josepeixoto3384 Oh I didn't know the "see water pump" had a rubber impeller. I bought mine with most parts missing and I installed it in a car so I never got to see all the special boat parts.
