Thank you for your time making these videos! I am roughly halfway through watching the entire AQA year 1 revision playlist now :)

Thank you sooooo much, I used this to revise for my organics test and I got a B!!! That’s a major improvement from being stuck at D’s for three tests and a U from one. Now that I’ve gotten a B I feel like I can get a A with the right push

Hi sir I’m confused as to why it’s not E-1-methylbutan-1-ene and Z-1-methylbutan-1-ene? I thought you start counting carbons from the functional group @19:03

Thank you so much for this, would all the information still be relevant to the 2022 spec?, I've heard the exam boards tweak their specifications every now and then but I don't know how often they do this and how much they change
@AlleryChemistry2 жыл бұрын
Still relevant for 2022 sepcs.

3:30 Im pretty sure thats Pentan -1-ol and as for the structural formula, ive seen that in the book it shows the double bonds, not single tho.

This still relevant for the 2024 spec and for the 2026 exams?

shouldn't the molecule on 15:05 be called 2,3-dimethylbutane???? because i'm confused on that And then on 21:27 the arbon double bond. So I'm confused why you named it carbon 2 on left and 1 on right but when naming it even though the bromine is bonded to the carbon 1 and so is the location of the double bond, you ended up calling it E-2-bro....2-ene whereas i would have expected it to be called E-1-bro-1-ene. is it possible to have frther explanation about this??
@fatmaabdirahim9973 жыл бұрын
No it is 2-methylbutane 15:05

Would it not be 3-methylbutane-1,1-diol. When 'diol' is used doesn't the stem then end -ane?

there aren't its because the methyl group is on the third carbon on the chain

yeah youll be fine these videos are literally just what you need to know, the textbooks have a lot of unecessary extra info in. Good luck:)

@blitzremix94622 күн бұрын

Your Intro into Organic Chemistry is totally erratic, and disorganized. Any student of advanced Chemistry would find your video to be thoroughly disorganized, and your commentary to be totally out of sync and misleading.
