How do you turn off the automatic alarm sound on the Aqara Hub? I just want the sensor to notify me via notification if there's a leak. I don't want the Aqara Hub to blast everytime there's water. However it seems to default to sounding an alarm the moment leak is detected, and I can't turn that feature off. I've tried to create automation that specify just notification trigger when a leak is detected via Aqara Hub, however the default seems to override it everytime.

I got the Fibaro for around $50 last year and didn't buy anymore because it's expensive. Will pick up some of these, thanks. Another great video!

These are budget friendly even after you factor in the cost of the hub! Thanks for watching!

Liked the video, I'm setting up an automation in the Aqara app for the alarm but don't see anyway of controlling the volume of the alarm. Any help would be appreciated.

When you create a new automation, under events there should be a “when sensor detects…” category.

I need a water shutoff valve that works with HomeKit.
@ReyG_HKSH4 жыл бұрын
The main shutoff for the house? That would be a great solution for emergencies but I always try and shutoff the valve on the street vs. the one in the house for liability reasons.
@NewHomeTech4 жыл бұрын
Rey G yes the one on the street would be better but say you are on vacation and your water heater decides to take a dump on you just image that water sensor goes off and your water valve closes preventing any major water damage to the house. I know Dome has a water valve shutoff arm that I am looking to see if there is a plugin in HomeBridge that I could use.

Great video. What I would love for Siri to Say “Water Leak in Laundry Room”. Do you know if that is possible? I would like to put those water sensors under each sinks, washing machine, dishwasher and in the bathrooms close to showers as well. So it would be a lot to check if it’s just a sound :)
@ReyG_HKSH4 жыл бұрын
That is actually possible with a shortcut called “HomePod Notification Recorder,” takes a bit to set up and you’d need to make an scene, like the one I made for the water drip sound, for each location. Thanks for watching!
