While Nami is naturally distrustful, she also is one of the fastest one with Luffy to "adopt" someone. She was the one immediately jumping to comfort Vivi 5 minutes after actually meeting her for real. She was literally planning to die for her 2 days later and considering she's got a much bigger survival instinct than most of the others, that's saying a lot. Nami is probably overcompensating for all the people she's had to push away during her Arlong days, because she draws lines and while she's decently distrustful of the people on the "enemy" side of the line, if someone manages to get on the friend side of it, it's almost impossible for her to let them go back to the other side. In that regard she's second only to Luffy himself so alongside him she'd be the least likely to accept that Robin is an enemy. Even Chopper could probably accept it faster.

paulie is actually super popular with lady fans from what i've seen. Apparently his behaviour comes off as him being charmingly flustered by women, not that he's trying to tell them what to do. When I think about it that way, it makes more sense.

I think just the whole "women shouldn't dress that way because you're distracting the men" shtick, something women in the real world have to deal with from a lot of men who have decided to objectify them anyway no matter what it is they're wearing for whatever reason and blame THEM for it. I doubt Paulie is an actual hardcore misogynist or anything like that deep down or if that's what his character is actually supposed to be as opposed to it just being another one piece personality quirk, but he says some weird stuff sometimes and I can see why it wouldn't come off super great
