I love a good ramble with you Chigg, but even more so when you find Civil War era, and earlier, relics. This was a good hunt, awesome to see you out in your element. However, if I had seen signs in the tall grass, like that carcass drag you saw, I would have booked it out of there pronto. We have a plethora of cougars in our area, and you sure don't want to disturb one of them at its kill. We also have bears, and coyotes, none of which I would want to disturb either. You are one brave dude! I had family that served on both sides during the Civil War, so seeing the things you find near or on the old battle sites, or in the camps, really makes it all that much more real to me. When I watch your video's, it transports me to another time, and in my minds eye I see the events of yesteryear, and how those things were left behind. Thanks for making it real. Have a great day!

Excellent as always! The idea of finding a buried piece of history is always exciting, even if it isn't in the best of conditions. The real unknown history and exciting part, lies with that officer that fell somewhere around there.

Hey Agua, I really enjoy the way you present your videos with great enthusiasm and no ego bs. Y ou along with GMMD are my go to metal detecting likes to make me get out and search.I've got some very old sulphur mines with coins dating back as far as 1828, Mexican Reals. Lots of searching left to do.

Wow Awesome finds! It amazes me that those relics were left untouched and hidden for all those years. What history! I sure hope you don't run into a bear! Watch out for poison ivy n such, I noticed marks on your arm. Right behind you when you start the video is (touch me not plant) that when you rub the sap on your skin, cures the poison, also prevents you from getting it, also a good but repellent. Something to keep in mind as you go walking in the woods n such. ☺Had to mention it, because just last night cooked me up a big batch to take with on my walks in the woods. I am so glad to see the wild turkeys are doing good! Here you couldn't find them for many years and now ppl are starting to see them again!

Thanks for taking me along! I would never have laid in that tall grass. Chiggers would have eaten me alive. When my boys were little and we went to visit Grandma it was close to the Pedernales River (when it has water). So I take my little boys, we walk through 5’ tall Johnson grass as we call it here in Texas. They caught a few little perch and were the happiest boys in the world that day. Then a 250 mile ride home. ‘Bout the time we got home, I started itching. Feeling like a fool but still the itching got worse and worse then really bad! Went to drug store at lunch the next day to buy what I could find. Whatever I bought did not help a bit.!! Ended up going to doc next day for some higher power shot. Really- I counted 134 bites on one leg. Just one. Miserable. I’ve not set foot in weeds or grass since then. But it’s all I can think about when I watch your videos! Well, not all but real chiggers are right up there!

Now Chigg , I've said it before , and I'm going to say it once more , it's clear you know your stuff , I impressed . Of all those you can find using " Metal Detectors " on [ line ] , you are the one I follow the most , because of your knowledge , and you seem to have it in spades . Jack Ps. Happy hunting .

That tiny pewter thingy to me has the vibe of a little pipe tamper, to press tobacco in the pipe chamber. Of course the actual enlarged part of the tamper it appear to be missing, but I found a lot of handcrafted temper with a little ring like that at the other hand, so you can pass a loop to it and tie it at your belt, or keychain to not lose it.
