Great tour of a fine example of a Kady Krogen. Built like a tank but with all the refinement one could ask for. Ive always loved them.

Great presentation. We own and live on a 48’ KK Whaleback. The KK’s is truly a solid boat, and the KK community is very welcoming and supportive.

Thank you so much Jim! Oh nice! I must say, the Whaleback has always been at the top of the list for me. I went on my first and only one at a Trawlerfest about 12 years ago and fell in love with it. I hope to get invited aboard one again in the future. Thanks so much for watching

I owned this boat years ago. Fantastic vessel, but it is a Krogen 44 NOT an AE. 44 AEs have numerous small changes from this model, including stairs instead of a ladder to the flybridge on the wide body, a quick way to visually ID them. Regardless, one of the best built, most practical cruisers (if there is such a thing?) ever built. Absolutely loved her.
@AquaCultured4 ай бұрын
Thanks very much for that clarification, Jeff! You are absolutely correct, it is certainly hard to beat this vessel in capability and practicality. Thanks so much for watching and contributing

Great tour. Congrats on the sale of the Defever, the 44 is one of my favs. However there is no shortage of well kept Krogens (owners have $$ usually and they are made well)- Actually the Island Trader next door was impressive as they are often let go and frankly build quality was questionable. Good luck with your next boat- as we say "two best days for boat owners" and you get them close together- hahhahaa enjoy.
@AquaCultured3 ай бұрын
Thanks much Ed! That Island Trader you saw is hands down the best one I have seen. I will hopefully have a Yacht Tour edition of that vessel as well. The best days in my eyes is the day when you buy a boat and then the day when you buy the next boat.

Beautiful vessel! One question, does it have a get home drive or engine? Or something equivalent?
@AquaCultured4 ай бұрын
That is a very good question! This vessel does not have a get home drive or engine. There is of course reasoning to have and to not have one. Many folks will state that their get-home was useless because when you have a high quality single main, it is easier to access and maintain the engine, thus making it so reliable that the get-home engine or drive never get's used other than to test it and it just takes up unnecessary space and is something else that you have to maintain and service. But of course, it can be unsettling thinking about your one and only engine becoming disabled, rendering you dead in the water. I am sure the folks that had a get-home that got them home would be in the camp to tell you that they would not have a single engine boat without a get-home. Thank you for watching and contributing with a very good query.

Amazing vessel. One of my favorites and this one may be the best I have seen. The lithium/Victron install looks like possibly work of "The Yacht Riggers" in St Pete? I saw a spare class T zip tied to the holder and instructions and labels? If the owner did that himself ...kudos to him. Everything about the boat is great. Love these videos. But I will say I was HIGHLY disappointed by one aspect! I thought for sure you were going to announce this was YOUR new boat. 😪
@AquaCultured4 ай бұрын
This is definitely a special vessel! The lithium/victory install was done by the reputable Charlie Johnson, a very fastidious marine electrical engineer. Haha! Sorry to let you down! If only I had a few more hundred thousand dollars in the account. Thank you so much for your continued support, kind words, and contribution

@@AquaCultured Yes..I know of the world famous Charlie Johnson! Its some amazing work on that install for sure! Top notch! I hope the owner, who is no longer selling, gets to enjoy his boat and im sure he will be glad he held on to it. Its a gem.

Rather have an aluminum toe rail with holes as in a sailboat for utility teak toe rails are for boat shows . In fact a lot of appearance items on any boat are just for boat show sales . I ought to know I have owned two sailboat distributor companies. If you are a newbie always take an old salt dog like me you a show . Because I will steer you clear of feature shoals that would make life on board less pleasant 😎
