I've been wanting to make this comment for some time. Viewing this yacht gives me the opportunity. I've been designing yacht interiors as a hobby most of my life. I've always followed the concepts used on ships and I've never designed couches into interior lounge areas. I always used arm chairs. I also had arm chairs on my own 44 ft yacht and my yachting visitors always commented on the shear comfort. Couches are okay for a party when guests outnumber chairs, but not in a luxury yacht. People need a place to rest their arms, or have something to lift themselves from the seat. Couches offer zero protection in a sea and people will slide or bump into each other. To spend millions on a yacht like this and find it filled with couches really makes me wonder. I love your tours.

Most super yachts do incorporate a few freestanding armchairs. Obviously, I do see your point. Sometimes it is nice to curl up on a couch as well though. Perhaps they could fit a small crane, to lift Aunt Betty off the couch. Now that’s what I call real super yacht luxury. 😂

Love Monte Carlo yachts. The only thing that is slightly disappointing with this one imo is the crew area’s layout..I just see it as a bit small and claustrophobic but it’s all impressive for a 80ft boat. I think a television somewhere on the flybridge would be a nice touch as well. All in all, great video and impressive yacht. Nice job!

Almost everything is fantastic. Could have a bigger galley to serve 16 total between guests and crew. Hope there is a dumbwaiter from the galley to main and then fly areas. The helm does not have a seated viewing area for the guests. Glad to see this though. Many thanks! 🍷

I agree with all your comments. That galley is really a bust. I can't imagine having to cook for a crowd in it. Not much for refrigeration either. Better be close to a grocery store.

This is a very beautiful boat and the sky deck is incredible and i love the lounge but I’m not overly impressed with the design of the bedrooms they seem to be a little bland but that’s only my opinion, but again Nick brilliant video as always 👍👍👍

To fix the flickering lights you can try and see if there is a light dimmer. They work by lowering the frequency of the light so it's perceived as darker. So when filming turn the dimmer up to maximum brightness. hope it helps :)

Very interesting boat. I kept thinking certain areas were a bit small, owner's cabin (though certainly nice), bridge, galley. Then I had to remind myself it is a sub 100' boat. I'd happily trade the space in the main cabin for a bit more room in the salon. Bridge would be too small, but made up for with that amazing fly bridge/deck. Love the bow lounge/sun space. Sometimes at anchor the bow is the place with the views you want. My only real issue, and this is true for many boats in this smaler super yacht range, is the galley is pathetically small. This is the worse I believe we've seen. We see better galleys on yachts that are not super yachts. Great tour, Nick. Keep finding amazing boats and glad to see the mirror wave.

Quite a difference between a 2018 yacht and a 2023/24 yacht - small quest cabin windows, no sky-lounge, the main deck master is not full-beam and the galley looks like a crew galley! A nice yacht for it's age.

It+s not the frame rate, it´s the shutter speed, 1/60 usually does the trick, depends on the hz cycle in the power supply of the lighting. 1/60 works 90% of the time.

About the best I can think of to say about this boat is that "there's nothing wrong with it"... but that just suggests MC did such a good job that it goes so unnoticed. Sometimes you only notice when there are things out of place, and on a no-nonsense boat that doesn't need the Wow Factor of dinosaur bone centre pieces and dining tables made of metor chunks, 'nothing wrong' means everything is right. Even the Mirror Wave was reassuringly early, just to be sure of getting it in there.

Hi Nick, thank you for another excellent video! One question: you always include a price for the boats in the title of your videos - is that the price when bought as new? Or is it the current price/value if the boat was to be sold second-hand? The question answers itself when you tour a boat that is for sale, whether it’s new or used, but not all boats that you tour are for sale, yet a price is always in the title. It's no Gulf Craft Majesty 175 but Mr Burnham sir what a stunning sub 100ft yacht a great find and as usual a top tour thank you, it's nice to see when the crew share facilities the shower and heads are split i always think it's a smart call,the outside areas are great that fly bridge again for a sub 100ft yacht stunning,love the interior layout and how light it is,for a raised pilot house yacht,not being my preferred i wouldn't say no to this one. Have you seen the new shower heads that are like rainfall shower heads but they are like in a teardrop shape and the water pressure makes them spin. They are quite odd looking but apparently more efficient and spread the water more evenly.

Interesting yacht calm and restful, light and airy decor, spacious in the guest areas. But, but I'm itching introduce via cushions, rugs and maybe for tge marble bit more subtle contrast in colours. The galley and helm are not as large as I'd like. But the fly bridge is the place to be, to eat, to sunbathe. I like the colours of the furnishings, blue rug, striped cushion, teak floors, much warmer colours more pleasing to my eye. The engine room with powerful engines, capable of 24 knots 1000+ nautical miles. With her extra fuel storage. For a 2018 boat she's holding her own with her younger sister boats.

Hi Nick, I want to offer you a compliment on your presentation style. I was thinking this as I followed along on this particular tour. When I watch one of your videos, I feel like an old friend is showing me around, complete with the odd mistake (which you leave in after saying “I’ll edit that out later”). The mistakes add charm. Your tours are pleasant, exploratory, always curious and filled with praise and wonder. It’s great. I also watch “Yachts for Sale”, and David does an excellent job, but he is selling boats and is appealing to very high end buyers whereas I feel like you are showing everyone around the boats with no specific target audience. Both sites are well worth watching. Yours is more homespun, and I think of you as someone I could easily sit down for a meal of ham and cheese sandwiches with! Keep it up Nick. I hope this is very rewarding for you.

The flickering on camera of LED lighting is caused by the way that LED brightness is controlled. They typically use PWM or Pulse Width Modulation. Essentially to control the brightness of an LED the most efficient way to do this is by turning it on and off rapidly. This avoids wasting energy generating heat by using a resistor. As long as the flashing is fast enough, human persistence of vision handles everything for us. Essentially when something is flashing rapidly enough our brains fill in the gaps between flashes to make it look like it is just a continual source of light. (Flourescent lights effectively behave the same, but not "on purpose" it's just a side effect of how they work). However because video cameras operate by essentially stringing a chain of still photographs together in rapid succession, there are gaps in time between each frame where nothing is captured, and depending on the frequency of the LEDs, can "sync up" with the shutter speed on the camera and produce flickering (this is similar to how the rolling shutter warping happens, except that is also affected by motion and the fact that most cameras only expose a narrow bit of the image at a time). Fun fact: Incandescent bulbs ALSO "flicker" as a result of the AC sine wave of energy moving through them, but because they operate by converting heat energy into light, and the filaments cannot heat and cool down fast enough, the flickering is prevented... It's just like how our eyes and brains convert intermittent information into smooth fluid motion, but in reverse. The filament stays bright between peaks in the wave because they simply can't stop glowing fast enough before the next peak comes along.
