Aquamid Joint Injection in Dogs - End stage osteoarthritis treatment

Wren is a 9.5 year old Anatolian Shepherd who had surgery to repair a ruptured cruciate ligament in her right hind leg in 2015.
Osteoarthritis is inevitable following any joint injury or surgery and Wren developed severe arthritis in her right stifle or knee joint. Wren is on joint supplementation as well as pain medications and has been receiving laser therapy since May 2018 but Wren needed more help.
Under sedation, Wren had an Aquamid joint injection to provide cushioning between the bones of her knee joint and so reduce the pain.
