Phil Collins is a precise, correct, and accurate drummer and has a sense of the rhythm fantastic. I do not understand why many American and English magazines do not consider him, as if it were a "mediocre drummer". Craziness! I have yet to hear (in recent times, 1970, 1980, 2000 etc, etc) of this level drummers. However the magazine "Rolling Stones" P.Collins considers a "mediocre". Maybe he did not pay the bribe ...

Much more jazz drumming.....which just is not rock. I wonder where Phil Collins might have gone were he to have driven/dove into jazz. I am convinced he would have been legendary. But jazz is not something you can 'dabble' in. You have to live it, feel it. Wynton Marsalis understood this when he left classical music. Rock certainly made a good living, unlike jazz. I would love to hear Phil on this subject and if he ever had any regrets.
