These are my absolute favorite, and so rewarding when your colony grows. I had a big thriving colony, unfortunately I lost mine due to bad husbandry when I experienced a few life altering events. I will probably try to start another once I am on my feet again. Such a beautiful and impressive isopod species!

In terms of the transparent container blurb, I have a thriving culture I've raised in a 15 gallon zilla critter cage over the last year. They are definitely on the reclusive side overall, but I still see some out and about foraging and such periodically. It's also very easy to see several adults that burrow down in the substrate pressed up against the glass.

I have been looking forward to this video from you! Theres still not too much information about p werneri in culture, and I was fortunate enough recently to pick up a starter colony of the silverbacks. Thanks for sharing your experience with them! It helps

This is a species I'd like to add to our "swarm" but haven't had the opportunity to research them much. Thanks for the video so useful!
Hey Russ I’m new to this hobby and can’t find much new/up to date info on millipedes, could you do a care guide for them in general or for Chicobolus spinigerus, it would be appreciated, i understand if you can’t though. I appreciate your content and all of the information you put out for everyone.

I did make a care guide for that species, it is a bit outdated, particularly with regard to substrate, but as you can see, I was able to successfully breed them with my care: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mWXYpJp3f8-iftEsi=0W9ZoM3SmF-4H_5T

This summer I'm gonna see if I can get my first colony of A vulgare or P scaber which has been a dream of mine for 2-3 years at this point.

These are so cute 😭 Will you ever be selling these? They're on my wish list, but not easy to find around me!

Unfortunately, this is a species I can’t ship out of state 😢

Why do they look so similar to the flavomarginatus? How would you tell them apart?
@Aquarimax6 ай бұрын
Good questions! They are probably fairly closely related, but they are easy to tell apart: P. flavomarginatus has white chevron-like markings along the dorsum, walks ‘tall’ (further from the substrate), is much less flattened, and is smaller in general.

If these guys could conglobate they'd just look like toilet paper rolls
